I can't get any channels during scanning on the Pinnacle 200e USB. I can get it to scan and recieve in MCE but not GVPVR

I've got the EPG's from TVBX, when I attempt to scan, it flicks by the channels, without stopping. In the preview screen i get a clear picture of the channels for a split second, with some channels with strengths well over 100.

At the end of the scan it still says no channels found, check signal or configuration.

I've allowed the recorder, program and config to be unblocked by the firewall. I've attached a big ass antenna which makes it work better in MCE but still no love from GBPVR

Wondering if this is related to DVB-S with TS mux not finding the audio. Certainly looks like the breakfast program we have here in nz.....

Might have to look at the new firmware, and i may b able to drop the cyberlink mux.

Can't do either automatic or manual EPG update .. somethng about max lock count .. attached are the config logs

Does this plugin stream the video from netflix?
How long do the downloaded files last?

I want to ask you if there is a possibility to configure GB-PVR to set audio settings for every one channel separately. In my cable network some channels use PAL_D and some PAL_B version. So in a result of this I have got sound only in first or second group of channels (depend on configuration).

I'v just decide to add caller id into gbpvr.
(It's been working perfectly for 6-12+ months, and as my wife says I can't leave well enough alone - always got to do something.)

I can't seem to get it to work on screen. YAC is setup and working fine.
(I know gbpvr is its own listener.) thought it might be the skin-community3, but when switch to blue the callerid button doesn't even show up.

Please kick my rear if this an easy problem and I just don't see it.

To begin, apologies if this is in the wrong section or if any of these specific subjects have been covered here; what I am seeking is not specifically if this will work in the technological sense, but more if this planned system will work as best as I have come to understand the individual components involved.
Ever since MCE 2005 came out I have been dreaming of a time when I could design and put together a full fledged home theater solution. As such I have followed the technologies of HDTV, HDMI and YCbCr among others, but have yet to actually work with it.

The following is a flowchart of sorts, that illustrates the mad ramblings of my mind, and I will explain in detail what I hope to achieve from this system.



HTPC:
OS: Windows Server 2003
HTPC Software: GBPVR, iTunes

Essentially I want the HTPC to act as the brain of the overall system. Output from the HD Terminal goes via YCbCr to the HDPVR (Hauppauge) and HDMI to the Receiver to be able to watch Live tv without the feed having to go through the PC. The HTPC will also act as a domain controller and fileserver for the rest of the network. Software on the HTPC will consist of GBPVR for the recording scheduling (via Intranet/Internet), and iTunes to store the digital information in a library.

AppleTV will be employed to grab the iTunes library and display to the HDTV. Reason for this is I prefer the overall interface of AppleTV for its simple and intuitive interface (also because I can control it with my iPod Touch) -- it's not just me that will use this system but my GF as well. As far as displaying HD content through the AppleTV the 720p limitation is fine for now as the TV I have purchased is a Samsung DLP (1280x720 native resolution). By the time I am ready to display true 1080p I'm pretty sure the 1080p broadcast content will be in abundant supply and AppleTV should be up to date. At that time it would also be pretty simple to drop a Blu-Ray player into the system (via the receiver)

The overall goal here is to provide a symbiotic relationship between functionality and ease of use, while remaining in my element (Windows network admin). The whole system will be controlled by 2 remotes, iPod touch for the AppleTV (which also doubles as my music player, so syncing that with the iTunes library will be a snap) and a Harmony remote for the Receiver, TV, HD Terminal -- I probably could control the AppleTV with the Harmony as well, but where is the fun in that

The only issues I am not 100% clear on are as follows:
- Will the HD Terminal successfully split the signal between Analog and Digital output?
- Will I be able to successfully automate HD and Digital TV recording scheduling without the actual software (GBPVR) interfacing with the STB for channel selection? I understand that I would not be able to watch Live TV and record at the same time, but the goal is to have a Library of HD content to watch during conflicts when I am home during a recording.

I should also point out that all networking will be Gigabit if possible, but I understand the AppleTV has only 10/100 support =/ which is fine for now I suppose, due to the 4 Mbit/s bandwidth cap on 720p content.

I just installed a Haupp. 1600 tv tuner. It works with MCE and the pvr that came with it but gb pvr has issues. I can do a channel scan and it finds and displays the stations but when I go to open the pvr it freezes on the menu display.

I ran a mux check, whatever that is and it says that I don't have a multiplexer on my machine. I am running vista home premium sp1. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

I also get a message saying that my dongle.bin is incompatible with vista. thanks

I have an HVR-1600 on my new server and I would like to know if there's a config file (other than qam.ini) that would have all my tuner info for my already tuned QAM channels on it. Reason is, I have some people in the same cable area that would like to get QAM going and I would like to make it easy for them like: " Hey, here have my QAM config files and fired it up!"

I understand it may not be that easy due to whatever the EPG guide might be, but if they use the same epg it should be close.

I would like to see a transcode button that i can select instead of watch. So that I can select a movie or show in recordings that I may not get to for a while and select transcode and have GBPVR cut the commercials out and convert to divx or xvid and place the file in my video library. Then I can delete the real tv recording whenever I would like. Seems I have some long shows that I would like to watch but have to delete because they are filling up my PVR. Even placing this in the transcode que for nightly processing would be good. most shows I like to keep as MPG but a few I would like to convert and save or share with friends but not all seems the current feature set is an all or nothing kind of thing.
