  plugins in pvrx2
Posted by: yeohcl - 2007-08-24, 10:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

hi,

I have added some plugins and submenu in the latest pvrx2 (gbpvr1016). The added plugins do not appear at all in the main menu or in the submenu. Any idea?

  SRT Config
Posted by: pbb - 2007-08-24, 06:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (26)

Hi Sub,

I just setup mpg2srt to get closed captions out of my recordings and create an srt file using postprocessing.bat. I finally got a show with closed captions and extracted the text for the closed captions. I checked the srt file and the text is in there. I enabled the SRT Viewer in the config app, but I still don't see the "sub titles" when I hit the yellow button on my MVP remote. Is there something else I have to do to get GBPVR to display my "sub titles". I haven't seen where to tell GBPVR where the srt files are located, so I thought I was missing something.

  Xvid files wont play anymore
Posted by: RedawgTS - 2007-08-24, 06:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

A few versions back I had no problem playing Xvid files but now on recent versions I can't play them anymore. I have the Xvid codec installed and I can play the videos in other programs but all I get from GBPVR is a black screen that I can't exit out of. I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del and shut down GBPVR from the task manager in order to exit. As far as i can tell it's only Xvid videos that do this. Short of transcoding all of my videos, is there any fix?

Vista Ultimate 64bit + PVR-150 set up help
Posted by: mungee - 2007-08-24, 05:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hello,
I have been struggling to get my Huappague PVR-150 to work under Vista Ultimate 64bit (Q6600/4GB RAM/8600GTS). Currently Hauppague says that Win2K does not work under 64bit so I should try using Media Center. But MC will NOT tune to any other channel besides 3 or 4 when you specify Satellite/Cable. And my Dish Network box for my den is set to 73. Since the STB in another room I use the Dish UHF remote to change channels and thats fine (Hauppague OEM IR remote is a pain to work with under Vista 64bit)

I just set up GB-PVR 1.0.8 and it looks promising but its config is overwhelming. I got "some" picture to work. But its stutters with both audio and video.

Is this is known incompatibility or do I need to do something else to set it right? Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

  Image pulsates
Posted by: Jarobata - 2007-08-24, 04:42 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (43)

When I'm watching tv I can see that portions of the picture seem to be pulsating. I'm not sure how else to describe it, it's like major fluctuations in the picture, the picture isn't consistent and solid. I'm hoping this is a common issue and my bad details will be enough. All that being said, I find it extremely annoying and I would really like to fix it. My specs are

sapphire ATI550pro
nvidia 7600gt
nvidia pure video decoder

i have it set on raw aspect, film deinterlacing mode, mixed fields deinterlacing, VMR9 custom, 8 mb/s CBR, encoder pass through, with no filter on the tuner card. The signal is coming from a splitter and is being run through an amplifier.

[Image: Compaq_Presario_Pentium_4_3GHz_Desktop_P...andard.jpg]

USA only, Today only.

Could make a nice GBPVR box or a client.

I would pick up one of these today if they would ship to Canada

Another zap2it (and schedule direct) pay alternative
Posted by: -Oz- - 2007-08-24, 03:03 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

I found another alternative for zap2it and schedules direct; its actually cheaper too, either $3.50/mo or $30/yr ($2.50/mo).

Its from the people who make CTpvr.

I haven't tested it but read about it on missingremote.com and thought people might be interested in more alternatives:
http://ctpvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1682

This should work with xmltv output pretty easily.

  Capture Settings not working
Posted by: jd142 - 2007-08-24, 02:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,

I'm using 1.0.16. I have changed the Low Quality capture settings to capture at 320x240 at 1500 Kbs video and 128 for audio. The problem is that the captured file is still 620x480. I've completely rebooted the computer and while the configuration shows the resolution as 320x480, the captured video is still 620x480.

I'm recording directly from the rca inputs on a Hauppauge 150. Could that be the problem?

Do I need to use one of the custom profiles instead? I thought we could make changes to the High/Medium/Low profiles.

Thanks for any tips you can give me!
