LiveTV channel changing in Vista is failing for me approx. 30% of the time on my Hauppauge PVR 150 26xxx and the driver is 6.0.6000.16408 Has anyone got this card working and if so what drivers are you using?
Sub, note this fails with exactly the same symptom with dongle.bin and mvpmc. Basically the first media open block looks like this
Is there a setting that I missed that will make GBPVR record a show at a specific time and *only* at a specific time?
I want to record South Park at 10pm on Wednesdays, but when I set up the recording it records any episode between 8:30 and 11:30. Comedy Central shows a repeat episode at 9:30pm and I've finally gotten sick and tired of having to delete that recording from the pending recordings list.
If there isn't any way to change this in a current version, please let me know the most recent previous version that will work. I have most of the old versions backed up.
Hi guys! I have been looking for a Windows Based PVR solution for a long time! GBPVR seems to be great but Im having a little problem.
I installed GBPVR last night and tried to get it working with an OLD Pinnacle Systems card and after some tinkering gave up! I broke down and bought the PVR 150 MCE kit and with great anticipation installed it. GBPVR's set up saw it right away and I thought I was off to the races. However when I click into GBPVR and click on Live TV it seems to work right away as I get audio, however it just seems to sit on the main menu screen. I tried looking at some video on u-tube and I get the same results. I tried playing around with it in settings changing the video to overlay, but I just get black screen. I thought it might have something to do with trying to use it on a span⦠so I went to just one monitor, but that didnât fix it either!
Any thoughts as to what it could be, or more importantly how to fix it?
Im using the most recent version of GBPVR!
Okay, I'm on the verge of giving up on this, but I thought I'd ask the considerable braintrust here to see if you guys had any ideas. Here's the scenario:
I have a DishNetwork 322 STB (dual tuner) and TV1 channel changing works pretty good (serial ir blaster) . TV2 is controlled only by UHF remote, which makes changing channels via a computer, uh, somewhat challenging. Right now I just set timers, which works okay until a show goes in "hibernation" for a few months, then new shows pop up. Managing the timer is a pain in the ascii.
I've been brainstorming ways to somehow change the channels via UHF and have met with dead-ends. My ideas so far have been:
1. UHF Blaster - doesn't seem to be one in existence, but I would think that someone could build something like that.
2. Find some "magic" setting in the STB menu that enables IR for TV2. Dead end on this one.
3. Build some sort of "robot" or cradle, that pushes buttons on the remote control This would be cool, but I fear it would also be somewhat expensive.
4. Ditch the 322, get 2 single receivers, and pay for them to re-run a new wire from the dish to my office, and pay the extra $$ per month for an additional outlet fee. Then I would have to get one of those IR to UHF jobbies to be able to control the STB from the kitchen. (besides, I'd have to explain to my wife why we need to buy 2 new receivers and pay more per month) I'd like to avoid this option
5. Hack the STB to enable IR on TV2. Haven't found much on this either.
6. I just thought of this one: IR Blast an IR to UHF Remote Extender, only don't have the receiving unit. I suspect that the UHF frequency that the extender will use is different than what the UHF remote uses. Or is it?
Anybody out there have any comments, ideas, or general knowledge that might help me out or get me going in the right direction?
I'm really enjoying gbpvr. I just purchased mvp which sounds like a great way to go. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to do slideshow transitions, like the Ken Burns effect. Is this available? And if so, does it work with mvp? Searched around but couldn't find much info on this feature. Thanks.
Could someone please clarify the situation regarding two or more dvb cards, Is this possible in XP or is MCE required? Additionally, I have one dvb-t card, the Winfast DTV1000 T. If I get another am I better off getting another the same, or something different, to avoid confusion? TIA
Hi I am trying to setup GBPVR using a Twinhan DVB-C card in UK, I have edited a transponder .ini file with the correct settings for my provider but it just crashes while doing a scan. it seems to be random times, I made an .ini file with just one transponder at a time and most are ok but some will cause crash once but OK the next?
I have included the Logs, Many thanks in advance, CharlieRam
Snap folder pics and show pics with just a batch file..
Using just ffmpeg and sqlite3.exe to access the database 'last watched position' to grab full resolution pics for display in gbpvr video library.. Works with MVP also.
You can pick the time of snap by watching the show and stopping where you want the snap to come from...
[i thought i posted it already but can't find it anywhere]
oops: forgot to mention it requires sqlite3.exe to be in gbpvr\ Individual show snaps
this is a batch file to be named snap.bat and placed in gbpvr\third party\
Code:
@echo off
cls
cd third party
set db=..\GBPVR.DB3
for /f "usebackq tokens=1,2 delims=, " %%v in (`..\sqlite3 -separator ": " "%db%" "SELECT last_position FROM PLAYBACK_POSITION where filename like '%%%~n1%%'; " `) do if "%%v" NEQ "" @set seconds=%%v
ffmpeg\ffmpeg -aspect 4:3 -y -an -ss %seconds% -aspect 4:3 -vframes 1 -i "%~1" -f image2 -aspect 4:3 -an -s 720x480 "%~dpn1.jpg"
and add this to your config in custom ffmpeg conversions..
to use just play the file to the point you want a snap and stop..then go into video library and select file and hit [transcode] and select "Create snapshot for show." profile and hit go..
Series/Folder snaps change the "%~dpn1.jpg" in batch file to "%~dp1folder.jpg" to cover a whole series with one pic...
eg: for folder snaps, save as snapf.bat
Code:
@echo off
cls
cd third party
set db=..\GBPVR.DB3
for /f "usebackq tokens=1,2 delims=, " %%v in (`..\sqlite3 -separator ": " "%db%" "SELECT last_position FROM PLAYBACK_POSITION where filename like '%%%~n1%%'; " `) do if "%%v" NEQ "" @set seconds=%%v
ffmpeg\ffmpeg -aspect 4:3 -y -an -ss %seconds% -aspect 4:3 -vframes 1 -i "%~1" -f image2 -aspect 4:3 -an -s 720x480 "%~dp1folder.jpg"
Remember to use the blue button in video library to change views easily..
i may make an installer for this if need be/requested..Enjoy!
PAL users:
change the sizes to 720x576 and you should be cool..
aspect ratios may be able to be removed entirely..[autosense] for odd sized movies..
sqlite3.exe for those of you who don't have it already: http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1176435878
