Any chance of you being able to detect if GBPVR is running on Windows Home Server, and then find out the actual free disk space on the storage pool rather than just on the D drive (which is where the shares "live")
Thanks.
PS - I'd be happy to give you remote access to my Home Server if you need debug access. Or i can have a look at how it's done myself. Actually, while i think about it i'll put a post on the WHS message boards.
So the main menu mce skin has this "feature" where instead of moving the highlighted row w/ scroll of mouse or up/down harrow (tv guide, system, live view, etc), it moves all 7 rows at one time to keep the center row highlighted. this is kinda annoying to me. any way to change that? i.e. the defrault blue skin will move one highlithed row at a time.
My GB-PVR and MVP setup is referred to as 'The Magic Box' by my wife. We're beginning to wonder if there's truth in that....
Like other UK users that use XMLTV for our EPGs, I currently have no listings due to the RT website having gone down overnight. The only things I have showing in TV Guide etc. are scheduled season recordings.
Anyway, in a (failed) attempt to fix things with a recent XMLTV file, one of those scheduled recordings disappeared from the list - an episode of The Simpsons at 6pm tonight. It vanished from the Pending recordings list and, according to the GB-PVR app., it knows nothing about it. Except...
At 2 minutes to 6pm, I heard activity on my machine and the Systray app. showed it was recording 'The Simpsons'. No sign of it in the TV Guide and no mention in the Pending recordings list. Spooky.
I just reinstalled my computer and trying to fix this to see some TV when browsing
but nope. Everything seems fine, the install, Config, Tuning & Config of that
I was about to try just one channel, but the GBPVR.exe wont even start.
I see that its trying to load plugins and after that is just quits, some times it even crash.
This time I didnt bother about the bkup files, thought that I could do the setup of channels again no problem, but I've tried the old configs too but no luck.
Using Hauppauge PVR 500(2 tuners)
anyone got an idea?
I'm supposed to record tonight too... off course it wont work then :p
When I try to switch to timeshift mode by either clicking on Pause or pressing CTRL-Q, I get the black screen which says 'Switching to Time Shift Mode...', then the screen stays black and does not switch back to display tv. If I hit escape or click a couple more times, it will switch back to the menu without timeshift enabled.
I tried turning off Live Tv so that timeshift is always active. That seems to work, but I really don't need to keep it on all the time.
Is there anything I can check to make the timeshift switch work smoothly?
installation last night, Don't ask how it was really dumb.
I have been busy restoring it to operating condition. I am trying to reinstall gbpvr .99.5 version cause thats what I was running. I have backups of my config and gbpvr database, and I thought I had a copy of the installer but it seems to be corrupted. Can anyone help me get a copy of that installer version.?
Yep, another thread. I've checked all the others and tried their methods, but to no avail.
I use D1XMLTV for my tv guide data and changed some settings in its config (time settings, +10, etc) which didn't help. I also tried emptying EPG and reloading it numerous times (with GBPVR closed). I also manually changed my system time back and forth an hour, to no change!
I'm currently working on my diploma work where I need to watch/stream DVB-TV in .net, but I haven't found a working class/library until now.
The only .net library I've ound was the TVLibrary from MediaPortal but with this one I wasn't able to watch/record/stream a DVB-channel.
So I'm asking know for your help, if you could say me a working DVB class.
