what went wrong, why he didnt done the recording ?
Yesterday he didnt woke up overall to do the recording, i restartet the
machine, `coz it was about 2 weeks only in standby ...
Maybe a hint :
The subtitle yesterday and today were exactly the same, today it was the
second part of it, but no #2 or anything in the name.
The weather button doesn't appear when I use the Flat Blue High Visibility screen. As far as I know, I am using the latest versions of the skin and the plugin.
For some reason I keep getting âRenovate my wardrobeâ recorded and I would like it to stop doing that. I know if you look at my wardrobe it may need renovating but I'm just not that interested. (It's a big âway to goâ to sub if he found a way for GB-PVR to do social commentary like that ) )
I have never asked it to record this show. I have checked and âReoccurringâ is empty. I have checked the PriorityRecordings.xlm for anything that would cause this show to be recorded..... Nothing.
Is there a way to tell why it's being recorded? How do I get it to stop?
My computer does hibernate when I invoke it or call it from the Shutdown plugin but maybe, in a future release, GBPVR can activate the hibernation/standby when the recording server/GB-PVR service is idle for a set number of minutes. I know this can be set in Power Management in control panel, but mine simply does not hibernate after the specified time.
I'm currently looking at components for a DVR solution, and I want to use GB-PVR. I'm thinking of using a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500 tuner card because I want dual tuners. However, I also need closed caption (CC) support.
I've read that the PVR-150/500 chipset has CC support, but that the drivers for Windows XP don't support it. However, the Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) drivers apparently do. I've also read threads on this forum that say I can run GB-PVR on Windows MCE.
So my question is this: If I get a PVR-500 tuner card, Windows MCE, and GB-PVR, will I be able to get closed captions?
Any help, even if it's only an informed guess, would be appreciated.
I can't seem to get the MyPictures plugin to work. I downloaded it (and the mydatabase) and extracted to the gbpvr folder. Config shows it with a check mark on the plugin tab. However, when I run gbprv it's not listed from the main memu. I know I've missed something obvious, but I sure can't figure it out. Any ideas???
btw, I'm using the latest media le skin (very nice!).
Hello.
To get rid of extensive spyware, I will be rebuilding my xp machine. Before I do so, is there any files from the gbpvr directory I can save that will allow me to keep the configuration and recordings I have currently (My recordings are on another physical drive that will remain intact). If I save the config.xml and the database, is that enough to get things back to the way they are now?
I recently installed a hauppauge 250 card and had the dreaded code 10 error. Nightmare to resolve but finally found a fix in the hauppauge archive site index t-123.html
Now to my current problem. Installed GBPVR and looks great but when I open config and close I get the restarting recording device dialogue box and the a unhandled exception error with reference .net framework and pointing to performance counters. I have unistalled and reinstalled, I have followed th microsft fix for performance counters by manually rebuilding counters. I have unloaded and reloaded the DLL,s as suggested by microsoft but still no joy. I may be missing something so if anyone could point me in the right direction, it will be much appreciated. Below is the error info .
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
Ok, I have everything running great! Thanks to all on the forum for your help so far. Another question though:
I just installed the Xmedia skin...but my remote does not work!? I have the 45 button Hauppauge remote (running on a PVR-350 that will not play AVI's). When I use the basic GB-PVR skin, I have it set to use DIRECT ACCESS TO HAUPPAUGE REMOTE, and I do not have that Hauppauge IR program running in the system tray. This made the remote and the menus and the whole system more responsive when I changed this over.
The Xmedia skin is so much sharper and clearer on my TV and I would love to use it, but without a remote, that will not be an option. Surely someone out there has a similar setup as I do or knows what little step I am missing? THANKS AGAIN!
