  VideoArchiver Help
Posted by: humbaba - 2005-10-26, 01:02 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (13)

Hello - I've installed the videoarchiver plugin, download two of the latest skins (BlueMCE2 and XMEDIA), and checked the box next to videoarchiver in the config/plugin/menu and plugins dialog box. However, a videoarchiver "button" does not appear in GB-PVR; all of the other plugins I check and uncheck will appear and dissapear thought. I tried reinstalling with no success. Does anybody know why this is happening? I am a newbie but a fast learner.

  Nested menus
Posted by: ggee - 2005-10-26, 12:51 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

After adding meny plugins, the main menu is getting rather large. It would be nice to put some of the items in another folder called 'Other' or something, so that only the items I most frequently use are on the front menu.

Thanks,
Greg

  AverTV Hybrid+FM Cardbus Support
Posted by: albl - 2005-10-26, 12:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,

I have got the AverTV Hybrid + FM Cardbus (E506) PCMCIA card and was wondering if it may work with GBPVR.

I would have tried graphedt however my notebook is going to repair (luckily I have extended warranty) and will probably be returned in a week or so.

Has anyone configurerd got this card working in gpbvr?

I have found the following part for mediaportal (if this is of any help):

FM Radio on Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2
Posted by: codymingus - 2005-10-25, 11:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (59)

I've used and enjoyed gbpvr for 6 months but i still can't get my radio to work. It pops no errors, but i still get no sound. If i click play and then alt-tab to windows, i see that the tray icon is green and 'recording live tv preview'. Could someone take a look at my logs and tell me what i am missing?

  WinTV PVR USB 2.0 Questions
Posted by: primetime - 2005-10-25, 10:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hey all... I installed gbpvr and right now I'm loving it just because of the cool integrated program guide and what not.

However there are a few minor things that are bugging me.

1) When I was just using the Hauppauge WinTV software, all I had to do to start it up to watch TV was hit the TV or power button on the remote and the software would start. Is there a way to do this?

2) FM Tuner doesn't work. No sound. Do I need to configure it somewhere?

Thanks guys.

  PVR500 only one tuner working....still
Posted by: sagone - 2005-10-25, 10:38 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

I've got this set up:
1) PVR500 as Capture Device #1
2) PVR500 with FM as Capture Device #2

Device manager has them listed as Hauppage WinTV PVR PCI II (Tuner 1) & (Tuner 2). i am running XP sp2.

When I go to record two shows at the same time in GBpvr, It tells me I have a conflict and makes me cancel one of the recordings. I was using Snapstream trial and it worked. Why won't Gbpvr work?

  Recordings stop writing to disk...
Posted by: DaveS - 2005-10-25, 08:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Title says it all really, the last two nights I have had scheduled recordings that just stop writing to disk during the program - instead of an hour, I got 25 mins last night and 35 mins tonight.

There's plenty of hard disk space left, there is nothing in the logs that looks abnormal, nothing in the windows event logs, the recording service was showing that it was recording for the correct duration each time, but the files just stoped being updated.

I'm using a Nova-t PCI in a lowly Athlon 1.4Ghz machine, but it's recorded properly most time up until now (odd glitches now and again playing back the files, but no major problem). Using GBPVR version 0.94.13

Any ideas?

TIA,
Dave

Live TV OK but recording gives untuned screen
Posted by: Mickey - 2005-10-25, 07:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I am using a Hauppage PVR250 card connected via the antenna socket to a cable box. Not using a channel changer for the moment (as its not delivered yet).

I have configured to use the Direct Recording Plugin usined Fixed Channel External Tuner set to constant channel 52 (which is the one WinTV works with - WinTV plays live TV fine and records fine).

GBPVR Live TV works fine but whatever I record just displays the typical wavy lines of an untuned signal - given that Live TV works I cant work out why the recording doesn't.

ANy help appreciated.

New Plugin : UK Cinema Listings V1.0
Posted by: McBainUK - 2005-10-25, 07:41 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (8)

UK Cinema Listings V1.0

Dunno how many British GBPVR users are out there but getting inspiration from the Theatre Listings plugin I decided to write one that would show film times / info for Cinemas in the UK.

At the moment it displays times and limited film info but I plan to expand on this. Any bugs / suggestions feel free to post or PM me.

Note
It's called V1.0 but it has only been tested with 2 GBVPR setups so I would consider it a beta version.
