I have been having problems when I stop watching a video (mpeg2). The video stops immediately and then I get back to the video menu. If I hit any button on the remote, then the mvp reboots to the "connecting to servers" screen. I then can't get back in to the mvp for a few minutes. If I use the original hauppage software (with the same dongle.bin), I don't get this problem.
I get this problem with two different servers and I didn't get it with 92.11. Is there any way I can get back to that version (I can't find a download for it and I didn't keep my file)?
Any other ideas? Also when this happens, I lose netradio (a problem you helped me with before).
Here is the last bit of my Config.exe.log (is that the file you need?)
Thanks,
Bigbus

I have been wondering about something for quite sometime. Because I did not want to ask a stupid question I have been postponing posting the question here. But all googling and reading the wiki and this forum did not get me anywhere.
On all the screenshots of Xrecord and other screenshots on this forum etc. I see all those nice pictures of tv shows. While I do not have any. (only the "click here to submit......" thumbnail)
I do not have one single picture but was under the impression I had to obtain artwork for series folders manually. But on the xrecord changelist I see something related to image downloading and some posts on the forum also seem to be pointing in that direction.
What am I missing here? I do not have one single picture in xrecord (not even for shows like CSI and Las Vegas). Am I supposed to download them manually or is there a different way? Do I need to set up something?
I've a big problem with gbpvr recording-source management:
I'm using the german version of the pvr500 for pal.
My external pay-tv receiver works on card #1.
In the config I have 3 sources:
- Source one at card #1 with fm tuner (free cable channels)
- Source two at card #1 - composite external (pay tv)
- Source three at card #2 (free cable channels)
Now, this happens:
I hear FM-Radio. Card one is used. When a new recording starts, gbpvr uses the frist tuner. The recording fails! GBPVR does not use the third source for the recording.
The second problem:
gbpvr starts recording at source one. Some minutes later, a recording for pay-tv on source two begins. Both recordings are just black screen...
I think, the solutions would be a priority-management for the sources. It would be fine, if can set source number 3 as primary source for standard cable channels. Source one is only used for fm-radio or paytv.
I think, this problem does not happen at the american source, because the fm-tuner is on card #2 in this version.
Since I couldn't seem to get rewinding working right, and when I fast forwarded there was no way for me to get back to normal speed/etc., I have am trying to use the "short skip instead of FF/RW" option. For FF'ing it works fine, unfortunately when I press the rewind key on the remote nothing happens. If I press the hotkey (CTRL-R) on the keyboard, it also does nothing. If, however, I use the mouse and click on the rewind button it does the 10 second jump.
The normal forward and reverse jumps work fine, it's just this one thing it seems.
Does anyone use there FM radio on there PVR150MCE with any real success? It seems that when I have the included antenna plugged in it knocks out 5-6 stations because of interference it seems to be causing.
Any ideas on stopping that from occuring, or do I just kind of forget about it? (the radio)
I have installed GBPVR and it works ok. Under XP I have followed the guideline for "Startup GBR automatic", (or something like that).
Anyway, running GBR in that way, as the only shell, creates a problem. Powermanagement stops working. XP forgets to initiate power management schedule and it wont go "hibernate".
So If I start GBR in that way it wont hibernate.
If I start explorer.exe in "GBPVR" shell and then kill explorer.exe, hibernate works (but just once). If I start my computer again after "hibernate" it wont hibernate until I starts and kill explorer.exe again.
I found out that the pinnacle card is supported by gb-pvr, but the compro has cooler features (like the "power switch" which can turn on your pc (real power on, no stand-by) sceduled). but is this card supported?
