For power-users who like to change settings, and as a place to put options (or keep old features/options), it would probably make it easier on both ends if they were all in a settings.ini file of some kind (taking any exisiting ones out of config, eg, the "esc to exit" option).
This way they would be in an easy to view list, there would be less chance of messging up something used for general funcitonality, and it would never be so long a list you couldn't just tell someone what to change and they could find w/o hand-holding.
Is there a title or sub title leaned from the xmltv that could be used to distinguish which episode it scheduled? Using that and keeping track of what is in the recordings directory would permit the option of recording all episodes of a show, while avoiding duplicates. I'm not sure, but I think Tivo has something like this.

With cmd line applications, would it be not possible to say run a demux cmd line to demux any file type such as avi, etc(assuming you have the correct demuxer for that type of file) into elementry streams and then in the same process mutiplex them into a mpeg which is compatible with most players such as gbpvr, mvp etc..All assuming you have a fast pc..
I started watching a show, and my wife was giving my son a bath. About 5min into it, I decide to record it and watch when she's done. Since I'm hitting it while watching, I'll get everything I've seen so far, too. Not wanting to keep watching, I watch something else.
Result: Recording stops when I stop watching.
Half an hour later, same situation (now my son is being put to bed...yes I do some work around here, too ). This time I think I'm being smart and bring up OSD guide, and hit quick reocrd there.
Result: This time it records when I stop, but not what is already recorded in timeshift.
Question: Am I doing this wrong, or do the two reocording types not work togther?
I love in timeshift (about 1/2 the reason I don't use preview) how if you hit record anytime while watching, you get everything you've seen. So either I'm doing something wrong, or I wish/think TS record should "stick" when you exit, or doing an OSD guide record should be able to think like TS record, and just continue existing file.
Anyway, put this in support in case this is a hole in logic. Move/consider wishlist if sub designed it so.
I'm going through the MyMusic plugin and trying to figure everything out. One thing that has hung me up is playing Audio CD's directly through the plugin. I have added the cddreader.ax and then .cda into the extensions. I have setup the CDROM as a virtual root. I can navigate to that root and see all the individual songs on the CD, but can only manage to play one song on the CD at a time. What am I missing that will allow me to just play the CD and have it play all the way through?
I was on 9108 and thought seems setup okay. So moved onto 9111. And the channel changer no longer worked (no errors in logs). Changed the service to "allow interaction with desktop" as per post above, and it works again.
That is channel changer in record, and tvguide - watch, and live tv.
This is on XP Pro
