Where is this stored? I want to set a default for all image views to preview, but can't find in DB or skin file.

This may be a nice feature to add...one default for folders and one for images, but still allow you to change per item as it is now.

I can do manually for the time being.

Changed the quality profile settings for high quality to 384 kBps. Audio is still recorded with 224 kBps. Depending on the profile i choose when i add a new recording, the video quality changes but the audio quality does not change.

Having a WinTV-150. GB-PVR 0.90.10, XP-home

224 is not too bad, but 384 would be much better.

I've been using NetRadio on the MVP successfully for quite some time, but I've decided to add to my channel list. I've gone to some radio station web sites (as in over-the-air stations that broadcast on the web also), downloaded their .pls files, and put them into the Net Radio subdirectory of the c:/Program Files/devnz/GBPVR folder. Some of them work fine; with others, on the information screen in GBPVR on MVP, it will say "buffering..." for a long while, and then play about 15 seconds of audio (I'm assuming that's as much as is in the buffer). Then nothing else happens. Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to get these streams working. Thanks.

P.S.- Hopefully I haven't overlooked something stupid. I do that on a fairly regular basis.

Never had this problem (that I know of anyway) until last night. Basically I was recording one channel with GB-PVR at 7:00-8:00pm, while watching another (not in GB-PVR), and then had another recording from 8:00-9:00pm on another channel. While the 7:00-8:00 program was recording, I checked my email on the PC, and noticed that my system clock was 4 minutes fast. My cable box has a clock on it, which sets automatically from my cable provider. It has always been right on, which matches my microwave clock and my local time&temp phone service. The PC's system clock was in sync before, but today was not.

I know that windows updates the clock with the internet time server automatically, and must have received a bad update time from them yesterday. Needless to say, I lost the last 4 minutes of the first show because of it, thanks MS. I cancelled the second recording, and post-padded it by 4 minutes to temporarily compensate. I contemplated switching the time provider to the .gov one, but I just said screw it and shut it off completely. I'm pretty confident my PC can keep accurate time all by itself.

After all of this rambling, I do have an actual question though. While the 7:00-8:00 recording was going, what would have happenned if I were to reset my clock to where it should be? When the recording is started, is it pre-programmed at a set length, in this case a 1:00 block; or does GB-PVR check the system clock for the end-time and stop the recording based on it? I could care less either way, but I would like to know for reference.

I frequently use IRC during the day for years now for various support needs, usually I site in #EnGarde on irc.freenode.net for support and the friends I've made using this Secure Linux distro.

I have created and registered on irc.freenode.net the channel name #gbpvr . All are welcome to come in and fellowship and perhaps get support there as well, in real time, if there are knowledgable people in the channel.

Let me know if you think this is a good idea, the channel is created and registered, and it's free you just need an IRC client. For Windows you could use the IRC client w/ Mozilla or mIRC (I'm sure there are more but I use X-Chat in Linux).

I'm considering getting a new PC specifically to function as a home media centre. GB-PVR looks like it will be my software of choice.

I'd like to know the following:
Does GB-PVR support the Nebula DigiTV card <http://www.nebula-electronics.com/inform...e=0001> ?

Does GB-PVR have the facility to record an entire DTT multiplex at once? e.g. can it record all of Mux 1, to allow playback of any BBC channels?

Hi recently got my Media MVP and am having troubles playing certain AVI files. They play but dont look right(like they are not running at a decent frame right), the sound is in sync though.

I have tried the lastest software and the software that came on my driver CD.

After some more investigation I have found some XVID's that play fine, and some that have this problem, one that works fine has this info:

Audio: 126kbps MPEG Layer-3
Video: 25 f/ps, 139kbps, 16 bit, XVID

one that does not work:

Audio: 110kbps MPEG Layer-3
Video: 23 f/ps, 140kbps, 12 bit, XVID

Would I really be able to tell that it is running at 23 f/ps? I have watched them on my PC and they look fine.

Any Ideas?

comskip is ok, but it is not working 100%...

Another question: can You also edit MPEG Files and REMOVE the marked commercals?
If not, does anybody here know a tool which is able to cut out marked pieces of a show?

Recorded the O.C. tonite for the 1st time ever, just to watch the commercials?

earlier version of gbpvr worked fine. this new version works except one little problem, no sound. please help. i get an error message that says, missing msvcp71.dll. Have tried reinstalling but to no avail. I am using the same pc as before.
