(note to sub,
installed gbpvr last week
spend yesterday-evening on stress-test and made notes,
so, that why you suddenly see multiple messages :-)
-----------------
Occured once:
during recording i demonstrate to friends all frunctions.
including
- pictures, radio, viewing recorded recordings, weather, comics....
after that: recording was cancelled.
tried to duplicate to find out cause, but failed to find it.
after 30minutes zapping during recording i gave up
---------
now:
- still a little afraid to do something else during recording
- what should i do when it happens again?
- anybody with same issue? one particular function with higher risk?
Hi,
1st: great product!!!
2nd: most needed: idiot proof user-interface.
==============
Now:
confusing channel-change/miniguide/info in live-tv
During live-tv you have the option:
- info: see current cahnnel-info
- channel-pre-select: also see current channel
- miniguide: see 2 channels
The functions are almost equal, but have differerent user-interface.
Sugestion: combine in 1:
Show miniguide:
- 1channel only, maybe 2 (+highligth)
- navigation-keys to brows through (like tv-guide)
- OK: to 'jump in, get detail-screen, same as during tv-guide'
- rec: to 'record program as selected'
- play: switch channel and 'go to higlighted channel'
(in that case ignore time as highlighted)
in addition:
- offer function in time-shift mode
- AND when using 'live-preview'
Note:
- now its difficult to explain to wive/kid difference between 3 almost similar functions.
- now its difficult to explain why it works in timeshift and why not when in preview-mode
- result: do not use
---------
Also (for consistancy AND less keystrokes)
in TV-guide:
when navigating, add 2 functions:
- rec: to 'quickrecord program as selected'
- play: goto live-tv and play highlighted channel'
(in that case ignore time as highlighted)
Note: less critical, but i guess 'adding smoothness'
I purchased a Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 as I saw it on the list of supported cards. However, when I try to watch Live TV I receive a divide by 0 error. Am I doing something wrong or is this card not really supported. After buying the card I read somewhere in this forum that the Leadtek card might not support Live TV. If this is true then I would suggest removing it from list of supported hardware.
That said, I would still like to get this working, so back to my original problem did I miss something in the setup.
BTW the card works fine with the software from Leadtek, but, the software is quite limited in its functionallity.
Hi,
1st: great product!!!
2nd: most needed: idiot proof user-interface.
----------------------------
wish-1:
Now:
hauppauge-quickbuttons exist for tv-guide, tv, music, radio, video
missing:
pictures (button is present bur does not work)
recordings
Suggestion:
Combine recordings & Videos:
-> maybe i miss the point, but I don't see the reason fro having 2 groups with video's.
make button for pictures functional
make button for video, 'goto-recordings/video's'
note: if 'whatever button' is made available for recordings, i would be able to redefine irremote.ini myself
wish-2:
shortcuts to sections (above goto-funtions) functional from all places.
now:
- does not work when using live-tv
wish:
- works from live-tv
note:
- implication: mini-guide no longer under 'tv-guide-button'
i think that is a good idea:
-> my wife will understand better if all buttons work equal at all times.
-> Above change will make these functions 'idiot-proof'. NOW wife/child has difficulty to use them, because they do not understand when they work and when not.
Result: i advice not to use the functions (peace of mind)
I have a new way of generating my XMLTV.xml so it includes al lot more information (e.g. description, Actors,...) but the Guide does not seem able to use / show that information.
here is an example:<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

Is there a way to make this detailed information available, either by a later release of GBPVR or by a plugin?
I just recently discovered GBPVR and have the latest version up and running. Â However, I'm experiencing some stuttering during live tv and sometimes during playback. Â I've seen a few posts that suggest this is new behavior and that falling back to an older release fixes it.
Where can I find the older releases? Â They don't seem to be available from the download link. Â I'd like to fall back to the .08 release to see if the problem goes away but I can't seem to locate it.
Purchased one of these a couple of days ago and decided to give it a try with GB-PVR. Having looked around the forums I don't think anyones tried this particular model, so I thought I'd give it a go/
It didn't work straight away but adding this to the bda.ini file seems to do the trick:
[Lifeview FlyDVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=713x BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=713x BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
I *think* thats all correct...
It seems to work but at current I can't pick up *all* freeview channels, just some, but I'll keep at it
Hi, I've using GB-PVR for couple days now(nightime) and its working great. I added/downloaded some plugins to make it more like a media center. But 2 of my plugins are not working. I downloaded Guide2j and findfast and both are not working. With Guide2j, i extracted the files on both the root folder(C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr) and Plugins(C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins) just be sure but it still doesn't work. I still see the old tvguide. And with findfast, It's giving an error about the skin.xml(couldn't find something error message) I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks
