  Hardware OSD positioning
Posted by: cwills - 2005-02-14, 03:32 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

For those of us with hardware decoding, like the Hauppauge 350, it would be nice to be able to indepenently stretch the video signal from the OSD, and menus. I can go into the individual skin files and move some of the items around so they fit, but there are a couple of things that still get cut off by having my livetv signal properly centered like a true tv signal is.

The SageTV stretching is pretty nice, just hitting in-out arrows to stretch it accordingly, but even an option in the config.xml file would be great.

Web interface isn't working at all :(
Posted by: chasef - 2005-02-14, 02:28 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I know this isn't what you wanna hear, Sub, but after installing the latest version and running config and then restarting my computer, the web interface no longer works...at least not locally. I can give you my IP and port number to try from where you are if you want but I wanted to know if you were aware of this problem, if it's just me, etc. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Otherwise, a kick-ass release!!!!!! Keep going, man [Image: smile.gif]

error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

This is the error I'm getting. I had a previous build and it did the same thing. I have a pvr250 in a cuv4x MB. I'm not sure whats going on. I can not find this error anywhere. This card and software worked in my AMD pc great as a test but not on my intel. So far on this system wintv, showshifter and cttv all work but I think I was most impressed with gb-pvr. Could anyone give me an idea of what might be wrong.
I'm using GBPVR09010.msi and I tried 0908 before that.
Thank you, Damon

  Remote not working 100%
Posted by: pcostanza - 2005-02-13, 10:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

After installation of 90.10, my Hauppauge remote only does a few things. It will not control the main menu unless I hit 'ok'. Won't go up or down. The TV Guide only goes up or down 5 channels at a time but again, not left and right. Checked the settings and they are the same as always.
Tried the remote that comes with the MediaMVP and it reacts the same.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Web UI not consistent and request
Posted by: joche - 2005-02-13, 10:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

In the web interface:

Bug:
If I click on the search tab and after that on the TV Guide the TV Guide will be showing an empty EPG pointing on the day before current and 12AM. This doesn't happen when I'm going from "Manage Recording" to TV Guide.

Request 1:
I would like to be able to record everything with the keyword "Julia Roberts" or "Glenn Close" no matter channel or show. Is this possible? Also, can we have that option via the web?

Request 2:
It would be great if we in the web interface not only could pick to record the show we are standing at, but also all upcoming shows at that time on that day every week, or every day.

Anyway, I'm back at GB-PVR after a short one-night stand with GAM.
- "Sorry for being so untrustful, it will never happen again, bring me a beer will ya?"
(Those affairs I'm having with the others HTPC developers are ruin me. I'm registered for Meedio, Sage and GB-PVR, still my wife thinks I'm sooooo bad at configuring an HTPC, especially after I spent €180 on a Harmony remote wich should make "everything so easy, activity controlled honey, that's the key" and we still can't pump up the volume with less than five key presses..................)

  Norton Antiviurs message after update
Posted by: pcostanza - 2005-02-13, 09:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I just updated to 90.10 and I'm getting a relentless Security Alert from Norton Antivirus (not internet security). I've disabled Antivirus and it still keeps popping up. I've never had this happen before nor did anything else to cause this. I can use the program on my pc but my MediaMVP will not connect even after rebooting the MVP.
Is there something in particular I should have done?
Thanks

Paul

Cant Change Channels - Can control GB-PVR though.
Posted by: manCREATEDgod - 2005-02-13, 09:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,

I have a Hauppage 350 with IR, USB-UIRT, and Girder.

I cant change channels. When I browse to a channel through tv gude it never changes the live tv channel.

When I hit the remote's number button it recognizes in girder (shows up on the overlay) and does sometimes change the channel, doesnt seem like its stable. Doesnt work at all in tv gude.

*The Hauppage remote conrols GBPVR fine (i can move around and select any plugins)

*If i choose test in girder it changes the channel(or runs the command fine) actually its doubling up the numbers but thats another issue im working on ... [Image: smile.gif]

I have selected the girder plugin in the GBPVR config(capture sources/channel change) I have installed the girder internet event server and synced the passwords and ports and turned off the windows firewall.

What am I missing?

Thanks

  Hibernate and PVR350
Posted by: hasso - 2005-02-13, 09:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Great work guys on being able to restart the PVR350 after coming out of hibernation. I've had this working fine with no failures whatever for several weeks until I upgraded to the .90 version. Since the upgrade I am finding that the PVR350 fails to restart intermittingly, which means I miss about a quarter of my scheduled recordings. Anyone else having this problem?
