Posted by: raptoger - 2005-02-13, 10:03 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Should I be able to adjust the volume using the remote of my MediaMVP? I tried but no luck. I'm using the high visibility skin.

thanks

  Recording problems 0.90
Posted by: tomps75 - 2005-02-13, 09:59 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

try to record a show.
Following message appears:
"Recording conflict"

"to record this show will require the cancellation of another scheduled recording"

"No changes. Cancel my new recording request"

I have only the second option to cancel my request! No other recording requests are scheduled at this time, no entry in the recording list.
No depending if I do this with the EPG entrys or manually.
Channel and time changes have no effect, too.
What went wrong - I think I did something wrong, but I don't know what.
Please if someone could give some advice to solve my problems - I'll be very happy   [Image: wow.gif][B]

Starting at scheduled recording causes error
Posted by: ejr - 2005-02-13, 07:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

The GBPVRrecordingservice.exe reports an error whenever it is supposed to record:
Application has generttated an exception that could not be hanlded
Process id: 0x12 (300), THread id: 0x44c (1100).

I have been losing shows, and am not happy about it.  Not sure what went wrong.  Any help would be appreciated.

If it is recommended to unintstall and reinstall, please advise as to how to keep my database, if possible.

Thanks.

Setting up GBPVR with Cable and Composite
Posted by: rtiangha - 2005-02-13, 04:53 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Ok, there's something I'd like to capture from my VCR using GBPVR and I'm not quite sure if I've configured my PVR-250 right. If someone could walk me through it or tell me exactly how to do it, I'd really appreciate it.

So right now, I've set up two capture sources.

The first one, which I assume will capture from the composite in:

Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR-250
Country: Canada
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Source: Composite, External Tuner
EPG Source: Zap2It

The second one, which is my standard Cable TV:

Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR-250
Country: Canada
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Source: Internal Tuner
EPG Source: Zap2It

Is this configured correctly? How do I access the VCR? Do I have to assign it a channel number? How do I do that? And do I have to run the EPG update for both?

Thanks

  Aspect ratio fun
Posted by: capone - 2005-02-13, 04:29 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I used to be happy [Image: tounge.gif]

Go figure: I start using ffdshow to fix the aspect ratio in avi files I have (from help I found here). Works great, I'm happy.

Then I use ffdshow for mpeg2. It letterboxes live tv now. Not so bad, but I'd rather it be full screen.

Now, if I disable it in ffdshow, anything I've recorded just stutters and doesn't play right. Now I have to turn the libracodec back on in ffdshow to wacth recorded shows, but the letterboxing is back for livetv.

Agian, the letterboxing on live tv isn't the end of the world, but it's annoying that I used to have that right before.

  Installation - error
Posted by: gand0lf - 2005-02-13, 02:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I am installing GBPVR on a w2k box with the .NET Framework installed. I get an error right after the destination folder there is a dialog box that says ready to install. I click next and boom I get a message that says. "Fatal Error" - "Installation Ended Prematurely Because on an error"

Anybody else ever come across this? Any thoughts?

I installed the sp for .NET.

disk space and shut down error...
Posted by: reefboy - 2005-02-12, 09:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I was hoping someone could help me get the free disk space utility along with the shut down utility working.

When I select either of these I get a "Error: com object that has been separated from its underlying RCW can not be used" error. Can any one point me in the right direction to get this resolved. Is this a windows problem? Have I inadvertently turned off a necessary service in windows...?

I just tried it on my computer upstairs and the functions work on it.

Thanks!

Bug in 0908 in combination with mediamvp
Posted by: ax95003 - 2005-02-12, 08:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

hi!

i've installed 02313.
my system:
hauppauge pvr350 with external digital tuner from upc austria.
installed external channel changer usbuirt for this tuner.
when i watch tv through livetv or tvguide everything works fine (even the external channel changing). installed 2 mediamvp. -> everything works fine.

done an update to 0908:
everything works fine except watching tv on the mediamvp.
the channel will be changed through usbuirt but the tv picture i see on the television is a different channel with a very bad picture! -> watching livetv on the pc monitor -> no problem.

deleted everything.

installed 0908 new
-> same problem with watching live tv through mediamvp.

installed 02313 new
-> everything works fine
-> update to 0908 -> same problem!

maybe you can fix the bug in the next release.
if you need beta test support please contact me

thanks for the great software!

regards

mario

  On screen controls
Posted by: bowulf - 2005-02-12, 08:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I just recently bought a Hauppauge PVR 150 MCE. I haven't yet bought the MCE Remote control, so I am controlling GB PVR via mouse and keyboard. I would prefer not having to use the keyboard controls, but to have an on screen display similar to WinTV2000 or my former ComproPVR (to control playback or channel/volume selection) by mouse control. I have not been able to find the same capability in GBPVR -- is it possible?

Thanks.

  DVD2Mpeg 24 Season 3
Posted by: puremalice - 2005-02-12, 07:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have setup the DVD2MPEG and it is working as it is supposed to...(I think)

My problem is that I am trying to convert my season 3 of 24 to mpegs to watch them and have them on the PVR. It seems that it only will rip the first episode and not see the rest.

Is this just the way it operates and I will have to find another option? Or is there a way to make it rip everything on the DVD?

Thanks,

Rex
