  LiveTV and Recording gets interchanged
Posted by: bryan - 2004-12-07, 09:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Sub,

I had an odd thing happen. I had LiveTV(Ch 50) playing on an MVP. Using the PC client, I scheduled a show(CH 2) to record at 3:00pm. I have two PVR-250s. At 3:00, liveTV stopped for a couple of seconds. When it came back on the show was the Ch 2 show that was suppose to be recording. The filenames were messed up also. The was a small non growing file for the Ch 2 recording. The actual video from Ch 2 that was being played on LiveTV was being put into a file under the LiveTV directory and had the name of the original Ch 50 show.

It is still recording right now. Do you want me to stop everything and send logs or wait until recording is finished and send logs?

Bryan

  USB UIRT controlling a PVR150MCE
Posted by: Bathman - 2004-12-07, 08:13 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

At present I use a PVR350 and use the supplied Hauppauge IR cable to control GBPVR. This then controls USB UIRT to change channel on my STB.

When I used sage I was able to use the USB UIRT to both receive and transmit codes.

I am about to switch to a PVR150MCE this does not have a Hauppauge ir input. Is it therefore possible to use USB UIRT as my remote control receiver as well as transmitter.

Hope that makes sense.

  comskip.ini from a working configuration
Posted by: surveyor - 2004-12-07, 08:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Can someone post her/his comskip.ini from a working configuration?

I'm using comskip 0.63 in GB-PVR 0.23.11.

Comskip seems to work, but I'm having two problems:
1. Not all of the comskip-files will be deleted by GB-PVR when deleting recordings.
2. Skipping when showing a recording seems not to work properly.

I have found both questions here in the forum but no solution for it. ?!? [Image: rock.gif]

any way not to use a pwd for the web interface?
Posted by: Cosworth - 2004-12-07, 07:23 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have no need for a password screen for the web interface. Is there an easy way around this? (besides recoding the web pages)

  ShowMessage() bugs
Posted by: CodeMonkey - 2004-12-07, 06:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

These were mentioned in one of the developers threads. Thought I'd repost here so they don't get lost in the shuffle.

While on the main menu, the ShowMessage() shows the string fine. However it does not erase by itself. Looks like there is a timer involved, but after it expires the text stays on the menu until you do something like down arrow or change to a submenu item and return. The text does not seem to display at all when playing a video. And last but certainly not least, it seems to hang gbpvr when gbpvr is on live tv when the message comes in. Note that I am running strictly on the PC, no display on a TV. And, no cable or anything connected to gbpvr, so no video signal.

  Unable to install
Posted by: reuelv - 2004-12-07, 06:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I downloaded and ran GBPVR02311.msi
after installing microsoft .net, on WinXP pro.

Error 1720: There is a problem with this windows installer package.
A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personell or package vendor.

I removed and reinstalled both .net and the msi to no avail.
I re-downloaded the msi twice to no avail.
Is there a bug in the install script?

  Which IR Control
Posted by: Guest - 2004-12-07, 06:14 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (14)

Hi

I've just ordered a Hauppauge PVR150 but I'm still wondering how to contol my digibox (Panasonic). I've had several suggestions as Red-Eye or UIRT IR Blaster. Red-Eye is easly available and resonably cheap but I've don't know how good it is? IR Blaster is well recommended but is difficult to get (I'm in Sweden) and expensive, especially as the shops that ship it from the USA want around $50 in shipping costs which is more than the cost of the IR Blaster itself?
Has anyody got any other good suggestions for control that works well with gbpvr or even know of a cheaper supplier for IR Blaster in Europe?

Thanks in advance

David C

ff/rwd skip 6hrs/12hrs in tv guide
Posted by: reven - 2004-12-07, 05:49 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

sub you think this would be a good idea, to use the ff/rwd buttons to either skip 6 hours ahead/behind in the tv guide, or 12 hrs? just thought it would be handy.

also it would be nice if you could input a number via the remote and press the ff/rwd button to skip that many seconds, like the mins via the skip/replay button.

  Zap2it listings
Posted by: Guest - 2004-12-07, 05:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

Hello,
I'm new to GBPVR and I have been unable to download Zap2it tv listings. I have had a membership on Zap2it for a few years.
I have tried both my login & creating a new login with the same results.
I'm using pvr 250mce & 150. Cable modem, WinXP pro.

I have verified my Zap2it login @ the site and it works fine.
When I try to update the EPG it tells me that I do not have it configured correctly. All firewalls are turned off.

If anybody has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
rick
