Flat Blue - No skin for Weather (fix attached)
Posted by: jipe - 2004-10-24, 12:38 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

I've just switched to the flat blue skin (which I love), and discovered that it didn't include the necessary images for the weather plugin.

The fix is of course trivial, but just in case the necessary files can be found here (unzip to skins\flat blue\Wink: http://jipe.dk/flat_blue_weather.zip

If I recall correctly the weather plugin is bundled with GBPVR - if that's not correct, just ignore this topic.

Posted by: thebyp - 2004-10-23, 11:42 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Hi all.

This looks like a fantastic program and kudos to all involved.

I hate to ask this question but i promise i have rumaged something chronic through the forums (there seems to be no search feature [Image: rock.gif] ) for the answer.

I have a WinTV NOVA-T USB freeview ext decoder and was wondering if it was compatible with GBPVR?

Thanks all.

GBPVR - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0x74c (1868), Thread id=0x750 (1872).

I get this after I just upgraded to the latest GB-PVR. I guess I should have left well enough alone. Now what do I do?

  Hauppage WinTV PVR USB
Posted by: Ragious - 2004-10-23, 09:30 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

first, kudo's for a great app!
since a while I own a MediaMVP and I found out about GB-PVR in the Hauppage forums. Absolutely great that this also works for MedaMVP! I decided to pick up a PVR card as well but at the moment it is seemingly very hard to get a 250/350 in the Netherlands. But one shop had a demo-usb version so I picked that one up.
However it seems that this is some kind of old version (not the USB2 version) it has hardware MPEG2 encoder but I can't just get it to work with GB-PVR. Can you please confirm that this is correct (I might be able to return it and wait for availabilty of a PVR 350) or should this USB version work allright?

Ragious

i gave up using the tv out of my pvr 350 because of the freezings making me dizzy.

as the title describes: what should i buy?

my goal is to be able to watch recordings while using my pc for other purposes. i have no interests in gaming, but i do not want to use my agp slot with an outdated graphics cards.

thanks for your supplies

  Key binding list
Posted by: chasef - 2004-10-23, 08:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Sub,
I know the link to the key bindings list is somewhere in the forums but I thought you might want to have a direct link to it somewhere outside the forums on your site. I know I wondered where a key list was but finding its page in the forums wasn't exactly easy. Just a suggestion. And, if I may say so, you've built a kick-ass program!! Kudos, man ^_^a

  problems getting initial channel setup
Posted by: pb_canuck - 2004-10-23, 06:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm in Canada with cable (Rogers), using a just-purchased PVR 250. WinTV picks up all my subbed channels using auto-scan, no problem.

GB-PVR:
If I set to "cable", I get good audio, but snow.
If I set to "antenna", I get from 2-13 perfectly (and channel 70?), but then nothing.

The tuner assistant isn't really helping me - if I run it with settings "cable", it picks up a couple local over-the-air stations only - just snow everywhere else.

Anyone know how I can:
a) grab the actual frequencies WinTV is using.
b) pop these into GB-PVR somehow.

Having said all this, I'm pleased with having channels 2-13...but know that more are just a couple clicks away.

Thanks,

Pat

  Enabling Closed Captioning
Posted by: jorm - 2004-10-23, 02:37 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Well I am trying to enable closed captioning.  I have selected the closed captioning box from the config.exe

I have also modified direct.ini and restarted my machine.

The first few sections of my direct.ini are below.  I use a medium quality recording.

I do not see the closed captioning in playback on my computer.  I am using Intervideo and VMR 9

I have a hauppauge 250 MCE.

Any ideas what I am missing?
