  CBR/VBR - Video Settings?
Posted by: pancapangrawit - 2004-10-22, 11:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,
Could somebody tell, what the Video-Bitrate-Setting in Configuration refers to? Is it CBR or average/min/peak of VBR? If it's CBR, is there any way to change to VBR (direct.ini or registry?). And: is there a way to change the GOP setting?
Ah, I'm recording with a Hauppauge PVR 250 and 350. Generally speaking, is there any way to access/define similar options as in WinTV or Hauppauge registry-settings?

Posted by: krelis - 2004-10-22, 07:34 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Since our last contact I did as follows:

- Clean install Windows XP Media Center
- Install all new drivers
- Install Hauppage wintv and it works
- Install GB-PVR and configure
- Grab TVguide with TVgids_to_xlm Dutch version
- Used Tuning Assistant

When start TV Live it's only snow or I got this massege ("no capture source was to enable you to watch the requested channel&quotWink

What can I do now?

Multiple users of GBPVr on XP Pro
Posted by: tkgafs - 2004-10-22, 02:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Not sure if this is possible or should even be a wishlist item

In my home 5 of us using different logins share the computer, each with different music & video collections

would it be possible to have different  configs stored in the database so that any of us could playback our stuff without having to reconfigure gbpvr

obviously this would need to be for playback only as there is only one recording source, although I suppose multiple people could choose to record different things and the system just raise the recording conflict screen when there is a conflict.
But I suspect the interpersonal conflicts within the family would be much greater than the technical difficulty of any such recording overlaps  [Image: rock.gif]

Any thoughts about this anyone

  no reoccuring recordings possible
Posted by: tuner - 2004-10-22, 01:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

If I schedule a manual recording let's say every mo-fr 9 pm I have only one schedule in the list and if it has run the list is empty.

Also, if the computer is missing a schedule because I switched off the power I get an error entry in the list of recordings but I can't delete it.

What can I do?

Highlight the running shows in EPG
Posted by: tuner - 2004-10-22, 01:08 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

It would be nice if the shows which are running at the current time would have another color in the EPG to be able to grasp them with one look.

How do I set the mp3 decoder?
Posted by: hansi - 2004-10-22, 10:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi all,

I have a problem with mp3 playback. For some files, when I play from GBPVR it sounds like my speakers are broken. I don't have this problem when playing the same files with winamp or mediaplayer.

When I render an mp3 with graphedit it reports that the codec used is the Intervideo audio decoder, and when I play the file it sounds the same as with GBPVR.

When in graphedit I replace the codec with the non-CSS version, it sounds OK. I have selected this one in the config app for the movie audio playback and that sounds alright, but how can I get GBPVR to use it for mp3 playback too?

I'm running the latest .227 version (which works fine otherwise) on my Pundit-R. I'm not sure now if the problem was present in .214 because I had not played those files for a while.

TIA

  Theater listing
Posted by: ktracy - 2004-10-22, 04:01 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have installed the theater listing and when I bring it up on the gbpvr screen I get the listing screen but everything is empty.  I downloaded the get listing app and it works, the .xml file is at the root of c: - what's wrong here?

By the way - great product - keep up the good work sub!

Thanks!

  Caller ID Plugin and C++
Posted by: CodeMonkey - 2004-10-22, 12:56 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (24)

Sub:

I came up with some old Caller ID code that I had that's in C that uses TAPI. I was thinking of 'converting' it to C++ and making a plugin now that we can post test to the TV screen [Image: smile.gif] Do you have a framework/sample I could use for a plugin in C++?

Thanks.
