I need to control my sat reciever(s) from GB-PVR, so I've looked around for IR-blasters and found a lot of references to USB UIRT.

I've only seen the +56kHz sensor version sold at http://www.usbuirt.com and It's quite expensive to get it shipped to me (in sweden).

So before I make my order, does anyone know if the USB UIRT is as good as it seems?

There isn't really any new big flashy features in this release. Just lots of small fixes and tweaks. There is also the basis for multi-language support, which will please a few of our european friends.

You can just install this release over the last release, and it will retain most of your settings.

- Added the ability to change the number of rows shown in the TV Guide. The can be used to make it more readible for those that need it.
- Added command line option to force window to appear at specific location using -pos:x,y,width,height
- Added command line option to start DVD playback -dvd. You can also start a DVD from the hard drive (by pointing at directory containing ripped DVD) using -dvd:c:\dvds\AceVentura
- Added option to set the time the EPG is updated. The used to default to 3:00AM.
- More MVP stability improvements, and also changed a few MVP command orderings which makes it appear more responsive.
- Fixed a bug with Timeslot Season recordings between 10:00PM and 2:00AM.
- Added support for changing the language of the interface using the language.xml file. The search skin.xml also allows you to specify the search start chars for those not using the english 26 letter alphabet. Let me know if you spot other areas of the application requiring changes to support multi-language skins.
- During video playback, the blue key (or ctrl-b) shows the OSD for a few seconds.
- Now ensuring .exe channel changer starts in hidden window.
- Added support for GO7007SB devices with tuners.
- You can now install over the top of previous versions and retain settings between releases.
- Now showing channel numbers overlaid on video as you press number keys.
- Now also deleting empty directories when deleting recordings (if 'auto create folders' was turned on).
- Added <UsePVR350OSD> option to config.xml, which can be used to disable the the PVR350 OSD.
- Corrected a problem on PVR350 which would cause the menu and OSD to blink after showing first video.
- Now auto-hiding mouse after 5 seconds of no mouse movement.
- Pressing the green key (Ctrl-G) in the music and video libraries will toggle between 'sort by file name' and 'sort by date'
- No longer requiring .m3u files to start with #EXTM3U
- You can now PageUp/Down through matches on the 'search guide' screen using the skip foward/back buttons (or Page Up/Down keys). Now also sorting the listings returned.

Can I install GB-PVR on my windows 2000 server? I dont want my xp machine to be tied up when recording/watching, and am wondering if i can use my server

Can you tell me what the command line switch is for launching a dvd that has been saved to the hdd. These are easy to find for players like zoomplayer as the are on the website but not so for the xcard player. Does GB-PVR create a virtial disc to launch the files from?

Am I making sense?

I am having trouble setting up the webserver part of the program. Do I have to turn on IIS or anything, here is the error I am getting.

It would be cool to have a list of theaters in my local area - maybe as part of a setup I can check off theaters that are the ones that I go to.

After the setup list the movies playing in that theater and what time they are playing. If I select a movie I could get a maybe a picture and a brief description of the move and the rating.

I would be neat to maybe link to Fandango and order tickets online.

An additional expansion how about adding Broadway/Off-Broadway Plays too?

I have this problem.... whenever I change channel on my NTL box there is a four second delay to when it happens on GB-PVR, which is a tad annoying! Here is my set up:
Scart Out from NTL to S-Video in on Hauppauge PVR-350
Multi-pin out on PVR-350, using S-Video out on adapter cable to Scart In on the television.
BUT, my 'HTPC' (ahem, don't laugh) has the following ingredients:
AMD Duron 750MHz and 128MB SDRAM
Which are hardly very tasty ones. Could this be the problem? Anyone else get this problem? Obviously there will be some small delay whilst the PVR-350 processes everything.. but surely not four seconds? I thought the PVR-350 was supposed to be pretty much instant because it does all the processing itself, not on your CPU, which is why I thought I'd be alright with my old Duron and crappy RAM.

how many MVPs can connect to GB-PVR on the one network. I am trying to add another MVP, one will connect to the server ,but the other one won't.They both connect ok with the Hauppauge software.Can you advise Thanks.

When i use Live-TV with my Hauppauge 350 and gbPVR everyting works great. But when i press Home to get back to the main menu it keeps fading the main menu to black, then back to the main menu and fades to black again and it won't stop. The only way to stop it is to exit the prog and restart it. Isnt there any other way or patch?

Sorry for asking this question again (I've read another post), but I'm still a little fuzzy about how to use the Hauppauge remote that came with the PVR250 card.

I know the following (and little else in this world : ):

1) I am running the IR program - at least the icon is in the system tray.
2) It works with WinTV

I have selected to use the IR program as the control plugin. Is this correct? I have restarted the IR program and still cannot get it to work.

Is there an option I have checked, or should not have checked which might cause the remote to not work with GBPVR?
