  no sound of music!
Posted by: bs007 - 2004-04-10, 05:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (18)

If I choose a mp3 file for playback, or when I try Netradio, I get no sound at all. If I play a file through Winamp it works fine. I also can use my Xcard to play mp3 files using XMP (player for the Xcard.
When watching tv or playing a recording (throught the Xcard) sound is OK.

Independent MVP settings for each MediaMVP
Posted by: Guest - 2004-04-10, 03:29 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Sub,
In my situation, I want to use multiple MVPs in my house with each one running a GBPVR MVP client. I currently have two MVPs, one connected to a Sony TV and the other connected to a LCD monitor. In order to have GBPVR fill and postion the screen the best possible way, I would need different MVP settings in the config.xml file.

Would it be possible, in a future release, to somehow over come this problem. MVPs have unique MAC addresses. Maybe someway you could have a config file that assigns MVP settings by MAC address.

  CD / DVD playback
Posted by: Maladin - 2004-04-10, 08:16 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (9)

Perhaps obvious but I didn't see it listed, so ...

Ripping MP3's from the CD's to the music folder would be nice too.

It would be nice to see the timeline on-screen during FF/REW operations.

  bugs in 0.15
Posted by: Maladin - 2004-04-10, 07:39 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Nice work sub! Its getting close to the point I might switch over from SageTV.

I'm having a few problems in 0.15 with XCard. I'm using the Hauppauge remote with direct access (no ir.exe).

1) Menu doesn't appear on screen. Live TV and video playback is on TV but the menu appears on my monitor. The show information when paused appears on TV but when I select menu its on the monitor. If I select "Net Radio" and then click "OK" on a station, then the menu appears on TV. But once I play video again, it reverts to the monitor.

2) When watching live TV, I can pause and resume but rewind / FF do nothing. I can navigate recorded movies but not live TV.

3) When watching a video and I press rewind, it appears to fast forward instead. But when I hit play it seems that it was rewinding, i.e. playback is at a prior point in time. (skip forward / back work fine)

4) Net Radio does not output audio through the XCard

5) Volume controls are non-functional on XCard.

gbpvr has great potential. I'm very impressed with what you've done so far and am looking forward to future versions.

  ShutDownPlugin

I've done a plugin to replace the Exit button on the Main Menu. It is able to shut the computer down or reboot it.

It's almost done too [Image: cool.gif]

Should be able to put a link to the source within a couple of hours  [Image: tounge.gif]

It is built upon the WeatherPlugin.

Maybe it would be nice to have all the developer posts (plugin etc) in one forum instead of in all of them [Image: smile.gif]

  button-generator.exe
Posted by: TypQxQ - 2004-04-09, 07:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

When running button-generator.exe to make your custom buttons you may get "A generic error occured in GDI+." if the directory where the file is to be saved does not exist.
The directory in question is "C:\temp\skin\blue\custom".
