  Sony BluRay
Posted by: gcook12 - 2016-03-14, 06:22 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

I did not see anyone asking this, sorry if I overlooked anyone that did. I started running NextPVR on a wireless connectd Laptop. Is there anyway to connect NextPVR to a Sony Bluray player that is on the network?

UK DVB-T - Missing CBeebies HD on Ch 124?
Posted by: jarrah - 2016-03-14, 06:13 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

Hi All,

I've installed NextPVR so that I can record some kids cartoon's for my son from CBeebies in the UK. For some reason though, NextPVR isn't picking up the HD broadcast of this channel (it finds SD ok), and I hoped someone may be able to help please? It should appear on Ch 124 - my HD TV detects this ok so I know it's possible to receive it in my area.

As seen in this screenshot, all the other HD channels have been discovered ok:

I've also attached my logs in case it helps.

Thanks!

  NextPVR was working GREAT........
Posted by: RTKAT - 2016-03-14, 04:31 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

When I want to watch live TV I have started NextPVR, went to the guide, selected the channel I wanted, double clicked, and the list of options would display. I would pick "watch" and in a very short time the channel would play. No problems. Recently when I do this the channel starts to play and within a few seconds the windows 7 popup that NextPVR has stopped and needs to close will show. I have to restart NextPVR and try again. Sometimes the live channel will play and other times this problem is there again. After this "error" has happened several times it was time to have the pros here advise what could be wrong. I have changed nothing with the program or the computer it is on.

  New Audio issue
Posted by: bidilc - 2016-03-14, 03:58 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Greetings you guys:
First time posting. I recently had to do a clean install of Windows 7 on my PC after a hard drive failure. Have been using NPVR since switching over from WMC. Has worked fine until now with new install.
The problem is I have no audio out from the NPVR live tv window. Video is fine.
I am using the HDHomerun extend tuner. I have installed KODI with NPVR for live tv. I have also installed Emby media server. My audio output is Realtek High Definition Audio through speaker settings feeding a Stereo receiver.
Live tv on the NPVR window has video but no sound. I recorded a program and played back through VLC as well as Kodi and had sound and video on both. Using Emby produced normal video and sound also. Using the HDHomerun window for live tv has normal video and audio I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled NPVR, and Lav decoder. I made sure that when NPVR is playing live tv that none of the other services are running. I have added the log and a screenshot of the settings. I have tried multiple combinations of the settings to no avail. Don't know what else to try. Very baffling
I have read through other postings related to this issue and it seems I have done what is suggested

  Recording skips ahead
Posted by: dongna - 2016-03-14, 02:35 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

Hello all,

I'm having a problem I've not encountered before. I have a recorded show that's 2 hours long. It plays back fine until about the 30 minute mark, but then suddenly jumps ahead to about the 1:30 minute mark (I'm rounding off here). It plays back the same way every time. In addition, it seems to play back the same way outside of NPVR, so I don't suspect any problem with the software itself. Seems like there's something corrupt with the file itself? Just wondering if anyone out there has ever encountered this, and if there's any way to get the file to play back without skipping ahead as I've described.

Schedules Direct error - EPG not propogating
Posted by: clemon79 - 2016-03-13, 05:56 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (25)

Okay, I have read in many places how Schedules Direct eliminates headaches and is just a one-stop solution and such, so I figured I would try the trial. And yet my head is throbbing now. Smile

I have followed the instructions exactly as the support video suggests for mappping my channels, and it APPEARS correct. However, when I click Update EPG, intersperced with attempts to download channel data I see an error along the lines of:

Date requested [3-20-2016] not within -> for stationID [blah]

...and around 5 of my 160-some-odd channels are getting data.

I genuinely do not know what I am doing wrong. Has anyone seen this themselves and know how to resolve it?

Logs are attached, and any help would really be appreciated...I am sick of deleting and recreating my channel list. Smile

Thanks again,

-- Chris

  Channel Mapping
Posted by: arrmo - 2016-03-13, 04:12 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (24)

Hi,

Having a heck of a time with channel mapping - likely me, but any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm finding that I have a lot of channels that are in an SD and HD version, just on different channels (as seen by my Hauppauge card) - but having mapping issues in NextPVR, they are showing up on top of each other on the same channel.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

  Extend Time (Web Interface)
Posted by: arrmo - 2016-03-13, 04:10 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (2)

Hi,

Likely best to open a new item (I assume) - similar to this posting,
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...n-t-extent

I'm finding that adding extend time or padding - neither one really extends the recording time.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

  2nd Immediate Record Function
Posted by: jcole998 - 2016-03-13, 03:25 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I'm pretty sure this has already been suggested but what the hey... maybe this release.

The current Record Immediate function uses the Ctl-k keystroke to immediately begin recording the show being viewed. Recording stops at the end of the show.

I wish for another recording function: A new keystroke that will immediately begin recording the show being viewed but DOES NOT stop recording until the user cancels it using the Recordings->Pending screen. Yes, this will tie up the tuner indefinitely but that's for the user to work out. Another risk, also a user responsibility, is that the destination folder may run out of space, at which time the recording is stopped. The Recordings->Pending entry created and the file being saved take on the name of the show the recording began with regardless of how many shows are after it. Scheduled shows coming into conflict with such a recording are simply not done and marked "tuner unavailable" or something like that. If the show being viewed is already being recorded, do not stop recording when it ends.

FWIW and tryin' to keep it fresh. I hope this sounds reasonable. It would prevent a lot "overtime" shows, mostly live content, from being segmented into several files. Also, many times, live shows will force subsequent shows to shift to a later time and "cross over" the nice neat schedule boundaries again resulting in segmented playback or the last 20 minutes not being recorded at all.

Thanks for listening.

Second NPVR box cannot see recordings
Posted by: gambo1953 - 2016-03-13, 02:53 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

I have setup a new, second NPVR box and pointed it to where my recordings are for my first NPVR box but the recordings do not show up. Is there a setting I am missing? Is the listing of existing recordings kept in a file on the original NPVR box?
