Hi

I have a Twinhan Ter (D+A) TV tuner card which I was using to receive DVB-T signals till recently using the BDA driver in GBPVR.

Recently I got Sky installed but I still want to use the GBPVR for recording my selected shows. Hence I am connecting the Scart output from my Sky box to the composite intput of my TV Tuner.

In my device manager, I can see a device named "DTV-DVB 3054 analog video capture" and under SageTv or Dscaler, I can see this device and the capture works flawlessly. My problem is that under GB-PVR the analog capture device is never recognised if I use the BDA recording option and I don't see my card under Direct Recording so I can't use it. Is there anyway I can use GBPVR to do an analog capture with my card?

GB-PVR wont work with the analog side of this device - its lacking the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

Can't GBPVR use a software MPEG2 encoder or use MJPEG to encode the grabbed frames at 25fps?

I also have a COE encoder which can take in composite and output MPEG4 in real time. Can I record that with GBPVR somehow? I can stream using that encoder to quicktime without any problems.

No it cant. I had no interested in software encoding, so I havnt written the code required to support it.

You could try this unsupported plugin: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2753 it might work for you.
