SoftCAM with Conax card

What type of smartcard and cardreader are you guys using? As mentioned I have an Infinity USBSMART reader (emulates Phoenix or Smartmouse) and Conax card.

Using a chipdrive smartcard reader, PCSC mode. Conax card, canal digital.

I have this smartcard reader. From Ad-teknik in Sweden. Has a built-in serial connection over USB.

And in Sweden the terrestial broadcast (DVB-T) are from the operator Boxer. Smartcards use Viaccess encryption.

Actually I also use a SmartWii cardsplitter to share my smartcard between a settop box in the other room and my HTPC. Works nicely!

I just got my WiFi cardsplitter today and set it up, it works like a dream (even fools Canal Digital's box), and guess what? PVRX2 now works with the WiFi card!

I'm in the process of testing recording from various channels but so far it looks good

It might be because "updates" are not submitted back to the card from the mdapi plugin. I am not entirely up-to-date with the technology and tech terms, but as I understand it the broadcast contains keys (ECM packages) that should be relayed back to the smartcard and update it. If the mdapi plugin does not handle this decryption fails.

When you used a smartwii card, the updates to the "server" card is maybe done from another settop box?

There is no STB powered up (unless a couple of times a year when the main key changes), it seems more to me as the cardreader has a problem reading the card. But only when pvrx2 runs... strange.

Recording does not seem to work, it records a file which is not playable, and during recording the softcam seems to be inactive, as if gbpvr just records raw (unencrypted) packets.

Logs attached, the oldest logs is from live-tv, which works fine.
