I did notice that on their product description page for the A-200 they list GBPVR as third party product that works with the device. I guess this is some sort of carry over from the A 110 description that is no longer 100% accurate.
This is indeed brilliant news. Let's hope they are serious this time, since they once said they would support user apps on the A-series, and it still needs hacks to get them working.

sub Wrote:A small update on this. It seems Syabas are keen to have GB-PVR working with their newer devices, and have been in contact with Martin and myself over the last couple of days, and they will be supplying sample devices and technical information, so... its now sounding like we will see mvpmcx2 and GB-PVR on the newer devices in the near future. I wouldnt recommend people take that as a promise, and race out to buy one, but we should hopefully have more good news soon.

That is good...so does that change the landscape for a "lounge" connected client for gbpvr? Just trying to decide between an ION2 client and something like a C200. I personally sway towards the ION2 as it's a full machine.

Certainly might look at updating the bedroom A100 to an A200 then...

Oh and any unused devices sent over I'd happily take them off your hands, would hate for your house to become a dumping ground... Big Grin

You don't get anything if you don't ask. Think I may get meself an A200 when they come out. Can replace the A100 in the bedroom, then I can move to DVB-T Completely and just keep the DVB-S for epg.

And I can sell the A100 to my brother in law.

I don't think there is a need for a big rush to sell your A100. If I can get anything working at all, I expect it will be after the secrets of Lost are revealed and Jack Bauer has had another long day.

I have 4 MVP's, 2 A100's, and an A110, two C200's, XBMC on my ION and 4 or 5 other extenders. I've got 5 remotes on my computer desk right now, so the A200 doesn't really excite me, except for the fact that I might be able to provide some of the functionality of mvpmcx2 to those that haven't been fortunate enough to buy an NMT already.

I had been debating on getting an A-110 but with this news (from sub) I won't bother. I'll either get an A200 or C200 (provided I can talk the wife into it). Then maybe I'll finally learn linux programming to help Martin out.

Excellent news.
I was looking into the a200 but had no news from popcorn hour, so I will wait to see if gbpvr will work.
With regards to the specifications on their website, it shows GBPVR on both the c200 and a200. A bit of false advertising on the c200!
Will watch this with great anticapation.

A-200's are now in the wild http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=35606 and although I don't have one yet, it seems the fan is definitely audible.
