Hey, don't care what aroused you, thanks for the help. I set it to 640x480 and got the same error. What would you suggest?

Which quality setting did you change? You need to change the same one that GB-PVR is trying to record as. You said you got LiveTV working, do you mean preview mode only? Have you tried pausing/delaying LiveTV yet?

What's the contents of your config_recorders.xml file look like?

Also which encoders have you configured to be used, some of the default installed encoders can't do high resolution.

Now you are stretching me to my limit. I have attached what I believe you will need. Also, don't know what I did, when I go into 'Start Config', Windows trys to configure GBPVR and I have to hit cancel several times.

The config looks okay, and except for the fact that I have not used those encoders before I would say everything is fine. Things to check:

- Are you asking GB-PVR to record in Medium quality?
- Try 320x200 for medium quality. Also try non YUV2.
- Try recording in GraphEdit. Build the same graph as before, but add the video/audio encoders and the mux. (Video -> mux, Audio -> mux, mux -> GB-PVR File Writer)

I set it to High Quality but it always comes back as Medium Quality.
Sub, I remember reading somewhere that I could add the graph to the ROT with a registry change but can't find it now. Can you help?

The 'chooser' in the recording config window is so that you can choose which profile to edit. You choose the recording quality when you schedule the recording. (or LiveTV is fixed to the LiveTV profile, and Preview mode is fixed to the Preview profile). This plugin _always_ adds the graph to the ROT, so no registry change is required. You will need to run the service in the foreground otherwise it won't add it to the right ROT table though. (Stop the windows service and run the exe with --debug or --test I think).

Also if you change logging to DEBUG mode there should be a fair amount more information in the main log file about what the recorder is trying to do.

Lots of useful information for me here too Smile, thanks a lot NormanR. So far I'v only used the plugin for watching live-tv (in a small window while I do other things), but it seems to record ok -IF- I use the "RECORD" button, and NOT the "QUICK-REC" button. Does this make sense?

Can't thank you enough. I reduced the size as you suggested and I am now recording fine. I also installed some Cyberlink codecs and tried using them with the larger size. Succes again.

Still having problems launching PVRX2 config. No big deal, just driving me crazy.

Anyone got any ideas?
