I'm personally running the 9.0b version, not the Microsoft patch, but the Microsoft patch was here http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=919071

I started this thread... want to let folks know that I upgraded my video card and all is well. SO.... if you are stuttering with the newest version and have an integrated graphics card on your motherboard you might need to shell out a few bucks.

I am running GBPVR on a very old machine - it's a 1.4 Ghz AMD - I don't want to stick much money into it. I bought an eVGA nVidia e-GeForce FX 5200. It's about as low end as you can go if you are buying it at a retail outlet. I got this one at Circuit City for $59. It's only got 128 MB on board and it's PCI.

Works like a champ.

PVRX2 is causing me problems with lip sync, stutter on playback, and stutter when I'm using the system to browse Internet. None of these problems existed with gbpvr.exe and version 0.99.12. I run GBPVR on Secondary Monitor (my TV).

On version 1.00.16 I set all decoders to "System Default", run "pvrx2.exe -fse", and set Video Renderer to VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive. Any ideas how to fix these problems? The settings I mention seem to have made lip sync problem go away.

your problem of stutter is probably the fact that now it suses more sytem resources than gbpvr did
if you are using fse then you wont be able to do much else on the machine from the video card cause now its been fully set to playback the video
by setting your machine to system default you are still using one of the decoders from the drop down list now you just have no idea of which one
unless you download the windows decoder check tool

Afaik it might run better from the 1st monitor. So you might have to switch them around, something with hardware 3d only being available for monitor one.

It's (almost) always good advice not to choose default decoders but pick a specifique one, to be sure that it won't use one that is known to give trouble.
