Yep, mine is pretty warm on one side of the top of the unit. I doubt it could run without a fan. I havent opened it yet, but I wonder if it might be able to be replaced with a bigger/slower/quieter one. I'm not intending to put a HDD in it.

It's a real shame that they had to put a fan into A200, the main reason I swapped out the PC in the living room for a PCH A100 was because I wanted to enjoy a film/TV prog without having to also listen to the sound of the cooling fan(s).

So as not to sound too negative:- GBPVR support for the C200 and A200 will be greatly appreciated; as I'll go for the silent, but bug ugly, C200 if I need to upgrade the A100 to get DTS-HD pass-through etc.

Out of interest: Is the C200 as ugly in 'real life' as it appears in the pictures?

I love my 2 x C-200, they play everthing from Blu-ray iso to MKV all in HD. The sound is nice, but Im not big on audio. I am very happy GBPVR might use it as a client. I use GB-PVR for several years and now mainly use it to handle all my PVR needs and watch it through the C-200. I have unpluged the 2 MVP becaused most of my videos and TV are in HD. I miss the GB-PVR interface and can't wait to see what you guys may come up with. I'll be happy to be an alpha tester if needed!!!!! I'm good at breaking things .

I like the way the c-200 looks physically by not so crazy about the look of the interface

Here is a reasonable review of the A200 http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22878 Hi-Jack's comment about the fan "The noise is light and soft though audible. Nothing near disturbing levels…" is what I feel. My ION is definitely louder and I wish the A200 was silent but I can live with it.
