When installed my GB-PVR, in the DVD section of settings it said you need Daemon tools to mount a DVD image, then specify a SINGLE drive as DVD drive..
This made me feel that I can only play ONE DVD iso (or VOB files) at a time. To change that, I need to exist, go to Config, then remount my other image to the same DVD drive letter, then restart GB-PVR..
Is this Correct?
If yes, then there is NO way to get a list of all DVDs ripped to my HD (kinda like the mp3 folders list in Music). This is a BIG minus here I think..

The weird thing is, I found in this thread Link that you can specify a command line option to start GB-PVR playing DVD from a folder:

-dvd:c:\dvds\AceVentura --> start a DVD from the hard drive (by pointing at directory containing ripped DVD)

How come I can play from a folder using command line (which means GB-PVR should be shut down then restarted) but I cannot do this from the main menu..

Any plans to add DVD Library browsing to GB-PVR?

ALL THIS ASSUMES THAT 'My Movies' Bottun on GB-PVR does NOTG allow you play VOB files (DVD ripped in folder), or DVD ISO...

Any comments how to go around this??

Thanks in advance...

If you use the video library in GB-PVR and browse to a directory contain a single ISO dvd image, and select to play it, it will use daemon tools to automatically unmount any existing image, mount the new image, then start playback.

If your DVD's are in vob files on your hard drive (not ISO), then the directory name must have the VIDEO_TS folder as the last directory.

Ok.. I did not understand this:
say I have a Movie called: 'Test'.. then I put all VOB ...etc. files in one folder (obviosuly) that is called: 'Test VIDEO_TS'?
Very unlikely I think [Image: smile.gif]

What do you mean by 'last directory'? Is there an order for directories? Or you meant 'last' as last text in the folder's name (as I described above)?

Will this structure work:
<TEST>
-------<VIDEO_TS>
------------------< TEST_1.VOB>
------------------< TEST_2.VOB>
------------------< TEST_1.IFO>
------------------ ...etc. ...etc.
-------<AUDIO_TS>

Pleas help, since this gave me huge hopes to be able to playback my VOB DVDs [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks in advance...

By last directory:

c:\DVDs\test\VIDEO_TS

so that all your vobs are under the VIDEO_TS directory, maintaining the DVD style directory structure,

Cheers,
Colin.

Yes, that directory structure should be OK.

For an example, I have c:\MyVideos\AceVentura, which has a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS directory underneath it. When I'm I use the video library to browse to this directory I can only get as far as c:\MyVideos\AceVentura. The VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS sub directories are hidden, and a DVD icon is shown instead. (You can also custom what this looks like using a movie.dvdinf file and folder.jpg image)

When playing DVDs from the HD through the Video Library; when playing, how do you return to GB-PVR? ie. using a mouse/keyboard I cannot return without killing GB-PVR from Task Manager (I imagine there is some simple oversight on my part here ....).
