I live in Belgium.
Using NPVR 1.5.36 and it cannot find this tuner. My case doesn't support any PCI-e tuner like HVR2200 (micro case)

If you're upgrading from an earlier build of 1.5.x, you need to make sure you stop the NPVR software before installing. In future releases I'll make this automatic, but thats not the case yet.

Syabas has released the 100 series firmware that among other things fixes a problem with mkv header stripping. I have been using the firmware on the A100 for a few weeks with no problems.
I wonder if this is just the start of a few "gifts" for the good NPVR boys and girls this week?
I'm new here and I've currently got two DirecTV HD10-250's (Tivo's) that I'll be getting rid of soon in favor of using OTA for all TV viewing.. To that end I've been looking for replacements and after looking into pricing (w/o monthly fees) of Tivo's I decided it might be better to roll-my-own.
So, I've got to build 2 boxes for 2 TV's run via HDMI cabling. I was thinking of the following hardware configuration for each box and wanted your inputs on whether this will work OK or not :
1) HDHomeRun Dual Port ATSC tuners (2 of them)
2) VIA Artigo A1100 Pico ITX PC's which have 1.2Ghz VIA Nano processors w/ HDMI output among other things -- would have 2Gb RAM, 500Gb 7200 RPM SATA drive. Here's the stats on the Artigo board here
I only found one reference on this forum to the VIA Artigo boards from back in 2008 but I don't think the board mentioned above is the same thing from 2 years ago.. I believe the A1100 was released in April 2010.
Does this have the horsepower to do the job? Also, is there anything special to do from a software perspective here? If I've got Windows installed, do I just install GPPVR or NPVR and I'm ready to go after plugging the TV into the HDMI port?
NPVR 1.5.33 works great with my EG-M34A as a front-end. Schedules and plays recorded TV with no problems (both newer TS files and old MPG files), and can play music and pictures from a shared drive with no problems. But, when I attempt to play MPG files from any non-NPVR source, NPVR crashes (more specifically, I think it's mvpmcx2 that crashes) and I get returned to the EG-M34A homepage.
These files play fine from NPVR on a PC, and also from the native EG-M34A UI.
I've tried various combinations of settings on the Decoder screen, including changing the Video Renderer and the video decoders, without success.
Logs don't show anything at all.
Any idea what could be happening, or how to further troubleshoot?
It is simply amazing and by far the simplest way to reprogram ANY button on your remote to anything else. Keystrokes, command keys, app launching. Click on a predefined picture of your remote, and say "I want this button to do this" and you're done. All the common remote "pictures" are included such as the 45 button Hauppauge and a ton of various MCE remotes.
I reprogrammed every key on my "far east" MCE remote (ORtek 1100, aka Adesso 1100, aka HAMA), including the color buttons, to every keyboard shortcut NPVR had to offer using the keyboard shortcuts available here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manua...dReference
And I did so in less than 10 minutes and it works perfectly.
You can even have OSD that shows on NPVR - like for the volume level! (It does so by default).
You can also define sets that apply only to and change the keymappings for specific programs.
I only needed the free version to remap some keys, the donator version supports pre-defined keymappings for software (they have a library and GB-PVR is included) as well as IR blasting for supported devices.
Transitioned from GBPVR 1.4.7. Looks great! My last goal was to get my season recordings over to NPVR either by using the external transfer tool or manually by searching for them. Cannot use TV Guide as I really don't know when they are on anymore (108 of them would be a lot of scanning)
Search was not checked in the plugins by default. when I do check it and click ok i get a generic .NET unhandled exception. If I click continue and reload NPVR GUI, search does appear in the main menu but launching it does nothing.
Would post a log but nothing is written to the log about it; log entries don't change before or after attempted launch.
I realized that my season recordings did not come over so I tried the external tool by kendrak24; have posted to their support thread because I have a problem using it.
Tried Searchlight plugin, but also get the .net error.
I reinstalled the .net requirements. tried before and after windows updating any newer patches.
I got the visual c and directx updates (already had them but reinstalled)
Tried reinstalling NPVR 1.5.33.
At this point, not being able to search for all my season recordings (to set up manually) or not being able to use the external transfer tool is only thing stopping me from using NPVR full time.
I am trying to import about 150 (mpg) recordings made by GBPVR into NPVR
The GBPVR recordings are in a separate directory, which is not the directory into which they were originally recorded, and not the NPVR recordings directory.
I tried the following:
Edit the addresses in the GPVR recordings dump file (which currently points to the wrong directory) to point to the directory where the recording now are
Run import in NPVR
Result 'no recordings imported'
Put some of the recordings in the NPVR directory, and re-edited the the XML file
Same result
Put the new XML file in the NPVR data directory
Same result
Looked at the log files - nothing of interest
Questions:
Do the recordings to be imported have to be in the NPVR recordings directory?
Is the format of the required XML file the same in NPVR as it was in GBPVR?
Could the editor I used for the XML file (open office) be causing the problem?? It did seem to add quite a few statements about the author
Of course I have read the posts about importing on installation, but I don't really want to disturb a working installation of NPVR by playing around with the recordings directory
I upgraded to NPVR (33) a few weeks back and am getting failed recordings a few times a week. I've tried everything I can think but can't seem to fix this. I didn't have any issues with GBPVR 1.4.7.
Here is an example from yesterday - any idea what the error 0x8007001f means anyone?
