I tried to record my favorite TV show and also watch it at the same time. After the show finishes, I replay the recorded file and nothing is done by NPVR. Is it posible to config to record by NPVR while still watch live-tv?
Thanks!
I have been using GBPVR (1.4.7) for a few months now and am, overall, very happy with it. However, every once in a while, my recording will appear on the disc as zero bytes. It happened today to all of my daily recordings. Is there a way to figure out what has gone wrong?
I have attached the logs.
Also, I have been trying to figure out how to program recurring recordings. I don't seem to have that option in my software.
When my code is running as the default screensaver, I have a completely black screen to work with. But if I start it from the Main Menu, the Date/Time and nowplaying info is displayed over the top.
I know this is to do with the order in which the screen elements are rendered, but is there any way to suppress or over-ride the Date/Time display field from global.xml (and the nowplaying info)?
I tried the NPVR 1.5.33 but I cannot find something relate to capture teletext like the older version GBPVR. Can someone help me? and also, I need to store in srt file in unicode or utf-8.
Thanks!
recently my recordings have been failing if uploaded a log that says something about crossbar not found thing is i dont use this pc for anythign other than gbpvr its headless so maybe an auto update caused the trouble or something got corrupt. im looking for a way to try to resolve this temporarily at least til i have time to put npvr on this pc or get new tuners but i was holding out for one of the cablecard tuners.

I use GB-PVR to record Live-TV and can capture teletext subtitle to srt file. This subtitle is in german, so some special characters like ö ä ü à cannot displayed because the file is not stored in unicode or utf-8. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks!
All was fine until I installed 1.5.33. Now I have no live TV. It says "Unable to find capture defvice". The device is listed with enable=yes and present = no. I have tried to reregister hcw_mcmpeg2mux.ax but I can't find the file. I have tried to download WinTV 7 and get the file there but, it's not found. Any suggestions? GBPVR works fine.
Just trying to get nPVR setup and have got a KWorld USB twin Tuner (DVB-T 399U/UR) which nPVR recognises as such, but when I do the initial Channel Scan it throws the System.AccessViolationException
I have attached the log file with the error
I have checked the aerial and that is getting a signal OK.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
Forgot to mention I have applied the patches in the Please Read message, and made sure that DirectX 9 is installed.
Another update:
Just tried the USB stick in a different machine, running Win7 and it all worked OK and found loads of channels, so fairly sure the USB stick is OK.
I have attached a shot of the status screen. There are two channels being recorded on the same tuner.
This is not multi-record. These are two different stations on two different channels (one is Sunshine Coast Ten, one is WIN).
Surely this is impossible?
After checking the .ts file, it looks like it has actually stopped recording The Good Wife, and switched to RPA. In neither case is padding (5/15) being respected, despite there being two unused tuners available.
Is there something I can do so that this does not happen?
I run a multi-track recording app that supports MMCSS (Multimedia Class Scheduler Service) which is supposed to help playback by giving processor-priority to the application and prevent other operations from causing glitching. For what it's worth, it does seem to almost eliminate glitching when running at low latency.
Sometimes things happen in the background on my PVR that cause GBPVR to stutter. I wonder if implementing MMCSS would prevent this?
