I've got a Twinhan 1020a and a Dish 500 with a LNBF Dish Pro Plus that I'd like to play around with. The line of sight to the 110 sat is clear, but the 119 is marginal (may hit the edge of a tree that's losing its leaves). I've tried to point the dish using config - while scanning on the converted ini file (all Verticals) posted here, but without luck. I've also got a couple of old DirectTv receivers that I've tried to use, partly to supply extra power to the Plus LNBF and partly to see if they will tell me when I'm pointed right.

I'm floundering a bit, and would appreciate some tips. I've read lots of guides, but have never seen any suggestions here on pointing the dish using config and scanning. Will this work? I'm not sure how fast the scan will respond, even if everytihng is set up correctly. I'm not sure I've got the parameters right for scanning. I'm not sure the LNBF I was given is good. I'm not sure the 1020a card is good. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

q1 why does my time line change(total time) by a few seconds back and fourth as i fast forward is this normal?

I think I've found a little bug in the new release,

If you chose a song to play then play a DVD the song will keep playing, even while the DVD is playing.

For some reason you cannot stop the song playing once the dvd has started, stopping the dvd will result in the song still playing in the background.

Pressing stop again does not stop the song in the background from playing. Selecting another song to play will just play over the already playing song.

Great release, Sub! I've tested the ability to record multiple channels from the same multiplex with the same digital card and it works great. Just one litle problem: only the first recording uses the Multidec plugin to decrypt. I know there's a technical reason for that, but there used to be an option "record out of process" in config. Is something like that still possible? Or any chance for that in the near future? I know I can decrypt after recording with another tool (thanks to this release), but online decrypting would be very nice.

just using GBPVR 1.3.7 again (yes I know I switch between other solutions but always come back and have just rattled the tin ) Anyway can't seem to scan for any channels when I go to map channels using my Nova-T and dvb epg the screen just says initializing and hangs the config program. Any ideas? Logs attached

sub - just reimaged my pc last night and resetup - tonight when i try to use live tv on the second tuner card i get the message about signal quality etc not high enough and then get sent back to the menu - i have confirmed that recordings are happening so thats not an issue - the 2 sets of logs attached are as follows

log1 - opened pvrx2 and opened live tv - got the error then exited
log2 - opened pvrx2 - setup 2 recordings to use both tuners then cancelled the one that was running on the first card - then opened live tv - everything working ok on that card.

If I've fot a Popupbase derived screen, is there a way to have the popup not close down after dealing with the GBPVRX2.UiSupport.UiSimpleList.CommandCallback??

By default after selecting an option the window is closed, and I'd like to keep it up for a bit longer until the user selects exit.

EDIT: ha ha, don't worry,it was me closing it,..

I assume MVPMCX2 is the same as MVPMC just a new version?

If so whats new about it? (why is it different)?

Also, with the standard MVP, you have a DHCP server, this gives out the IP address then it doesnt a broadcast to find a "server" which GBPVR responds and sends over the dongle....

Now does PopcornHour do the same???? whats with all the uploading of files and telnets all about?

I need a HD replacement for the MVP, i see Popcorn sounds nice, worried about all the file playing (to old for this stuff now).

Can anyone recommend a dual DVB-S card easily obtainable in New Zealand? I can live with either PCI or PCIe, but would like to have two independent DVB-S tuners so that I can watch Freeview & record simultaneously.

Due to a limited number of slots in my M-ATX board, I'd like to do this with a single card.

I often get a problem where the GBPVR recording service cannot find a tuner even if it is available. YES I could investigate it but often all it requires is a restart of the GBPVR recording process.

Due to my set up I can reboot the server (in the loft) on an MVP but I don't really need to do this. And this takes 4 minutes approx.

I tried adding the the recording restart as a an extra in the config but it needs an .exe not a .bat.

I have no programming skills, what I want to do is turn the .bat of recording service into an .exe then I can add it to my menu?
