Posted by: sammy_smith - 2005-04-06, 02:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I just updated to the latest release, and now I am getting the following errors when I try to run the Theatre plugin.

Is anyone else having this problem?

  Black screen while recording
Posted by: Darx-starz - 2005-04-06, 10:53 AM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Hi I have a strange problem. When a recording is scheduled and the PC resumes from hibernate, the screen is black. If I try and login remotely using UltraVNC or try to access localy with a KB and mouse I cannot interact with gb-pvr. If a scheduled recording starts whilst the PVR is running this does not happen. Anybody else seen this? Any ideas?

MVP boot problem - stops at "Contacting Servers"
Posted by: nia - 2005-04-06, 10:29 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (41)

Hi.

I am struggling getting my newly acquired MVP to connect to the GBPVR server.

As soon as I start the original Hauppauge software services it brings up the native UI nicely, and that part works just fine. The two Hauppauge services I have changed to start manually in the services part of Control panel (XPSP2).

However, trying to get the GBPVR frontend up and running has been without any success. The MVP is booting to the point where it is "Contacting Servers", after which it just stays there.

I'm now running the latest 0.91.11 but have also been trying earlier with 0.91.07.

The GBPVR server is running with a fixed IP and currently with the firewall fully disabled(!)

I have been through the threads and among many other things tried using both my Linksys WRT54GS and Windows Server 2003 DHCP service with same unsuccessful results.

Any input is greatly appreciated as I'm pilot testing for a group of colleagues looking for the 'perfect PVR', which this will be if only the MediaMVP would boot up Sad

Added the gbpvr.exe.log file if that is of any use.

Brgds,
Niels

Question regarding adding plugins and skins to default installation package
Posted by: daphatty - 2005-04-06, 05:07 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (7)

Sub,

I noticed that you're now including (and may have been doing so for quite some time) the enhanced web admin with the standard release of GB-PVR. Do you have any plans to include some or all of the more established plugins that are available for GB-PVR in subsequent releases? Same question goes for "3rd party" skins.

  Comskippers
Posted by: capone - 2005-04-06, 04:58 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Has anyone played w/ comskip and come up w/ some best settings? It works pretty great as it is, but it misses sometimes. I was wondering if someone had optimized the settings a bit more and would be up for sharing.

Does GB-PVR work with the ATI 9600 All-In-Wonder video card, I also have the All-In-Wonder 2 Remote Control, does this work with it also.

Request: a few additional IR blaster codes
Posted by: markm - 2005-04-06, 03:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I'm using the USBUIRT blaster to change channels on a Dish reciever via an MVP. For various reasons, I sometimes get a dialog box on the reciever that I need to press "OK" or "Cancel" to, or worse "Channel up or down".

It would be nice to have a couple extra learned codes that could be mapped to MVP buttons for when that happens.

  GB-PVR Crashing.
Posted by: isgdre - 2005-04-06, 03:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I think I found a problem.

I have had GB-PVR speratically crash on me. So I moved it to it's own computer. A 466Mhz, 128meg, 60gig, Windows 2000 computer with only Windows 2000 (and all it's patches), the WinTV-350 software, and GB-PVR.

Now it's crashing seems to be much more reproducable. On the fast computer (2.6gig) it's speratically very busy and that seemed to have some affect on GB-PVR crashing. Now on the 466, all works fine but when I do a few things. Moving arround in the menus when the recording service kicks in is a common time for it to die. More Likely is when the recording service is just finishing a recording. If I'm moving around in the menus it dies (completely lockes up the computer, must poweroff).

Anyway. I would think that if you had older slower computer you could make GB-PVR MUCH more stable. since it's crashing/locking up is more reproducable.

Any Idea?

  xrecording - New icons
Posted by: isgdre - 2005-04-06, 03:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Anyone out there know how to create/submit new icons for shows?

I would create some if I new how to make them active.

i.e. The tonight show, Rough Sience, etc which come back with none.
Also, I have clicked the "Click Here" to make them and it just tries to download them.
