having hard time getting npvr to switch to analog audio...
most of my channels are spdif, but one is analog, for viewing my stb dvr stuff...
if i manually put it in analog mode, it switches properly to spdif when i choose a spdif channel.. But after it is in spdif mode, it won't switch back to analog mode when i select the analog channel..
in logs it says it is setup for analog but it never changes the filter settings...

anything else that you need?

am using latest hdpvr1212 drivers..[hdpvr_1.7.1.30059]

Really excited to see this app under development. I have been trying to find the best way to get live tv and recordings to the living room as I propose cutting the cord. Since NextPVR itself seems to be the best featured client for NextPVR (the only one with conflict resolution and resource information) that is my preference, but my wife is not a big fan of Windows so...

Anyway, here's a few things I noticed. The first being a bit of a big one. As I was installing I hit enter too soon and failed to enter the IP address the second time it is asked for. This left me with the app trying to connect, but it would never really fail. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling it kept trying to connect to the wrong IP and even pressing 000 failed to get me back to settings. Ultimately I had to reset my TV and start fresh. So maybe some kind of timed failure that takes you back to the settings screen?

Secondly, I could pause live TV, but could not move forward at all. No way to skip commercials.
Lastly, if I started a show, then completely stopped, I was unable to 'resume'. It would just start over.

You may already be aware of these issues, but wanted to pass on my experience so far. Everything else I tested seemed to work great, but I haven't really had a lot of time to put it through the app through it's paces yet! Anxious to test it out more this weekend!

Anyway, I'm still using Win 7 and have fought off the Win 10 assault.

Was refered to Kodi and NextPVR on AR15.com. Did the install dance, even Soft PVR and WinTV8 (which does show channels but will only play the channel the DISH receiver is tuned to at the time)

NextPVR shows all aspects on my Hauppauge 2250. After scan complete, no channels are shown no matter whether analog, ATSC or QAM aspect is selected.

I select Categories from the menu at the top of TV Listings. I select a category like Movies or Series but no matter what I pick I get "No results found".

Any ideas what could be causing this?

P.S. I am seeing a full schedule in the program guide.

It really does not seem to detail how to use the TV Listings, just how to set it up.

I am running Windows 10 X64 on my desktop computer with NextPVR and Colossus Tuner. I recently upgraded NextPVR to 3.7.7. I have upgraded VLC to 2.2.4 (32 bit). The VLC installer still shows the Mozilla Web Plugin and the Activex plugin, and I installed both. I checked the config via the classic interface and the VLC location is correctly set. I cannot stream from the guide in either the “Modern” or “Classic” interfaces. I CAN stream from the modern interface, but only using the “Now” button. I can see the guide in both interfaces.

Attempting to stream from the guide (not the NOW) in the modern interface yields “HTTP Error”. Attempting to stream from the guide in the classic yields “Internal Server Error”. These errors appear both on my LAN and when using localhost. I tried turning off firewall to no avail. Turned off antivirus to no avail. Tried with both Firefox (V47) and IE with same result.
NextPVR seems to be working just fine on the desktop. LiveTV works and recording works.

hi, i am using kodi on my rpis.i am doing a project for hotel to save cost of cable.i am trying to do that i will buy one tv tunner card and attach it from my setupbox to my laptop that will act as server and in my hotel rooms i will send tv channels from this pc as my backend and various rpis as clients.



Will they be able to watch tv without any problem with each other in any way...????

Just wondering if anyone has a simple-ish method for finding old orphaned recordings?

I've got multiple recording drives and I'm sure there are a bunch of lost .ts and .mpeg files that no longer have an entry in the recording database for various reasons over the years.

Checking each file on the drives manually would take forever, just wondering if I'm overlooking a better method?
