Hi Sub,
I was looking forward to installing the new version of GBPVR. In particular the search tv-guide and fm radio functions were what I really liked.
However, yesterday after installing v19, I noticed two particularly severe problems, together with a few smaller ones, that made me decide to immediately go back to v18.
The biggest problem is that after watching live-tv or playing a video, when the main menu is shown, it is correctly shown on the pc-screen, but via the tv-out of my pvr350, it is constantly being redrawn. The program does not listen to the remote, keyboard, mouse or touchscreen. Only option is to stop it via the task manager.
This has never happened before with gbpvr! I don't know whether it can make any difference, but I tried it with VMR9&7 and overlay. No difference. Is this the infamous PVR350-OSD bug?
BUT reading throught the forums, I see this should have been fixed with a fix-download. I will give it a try tonight or in the weekend...
Second biggest problem is that the audio-video sync for livetv was very bad. In v18 it is correct most of the time, in v19 the several times I tried it was always wrong. Once it jumped into sync when I pushed the full-button on my remote while watching livetv?!? Very strange.
Other -less severe- problems were:
-The radio didn't work, I got an error saying that the recording service was not running, but it was. However, I may have installed the lame encoder wrongly. I had the lame-enc.dll file copied into the gbpvr directory. Or is more needed?
-I configured gbpvr to be shown in full-screen (better: not windowed). However, it is put behind the taskbar and it leaves a small space clear at the top (see picture)
To be honest: the clear space at the top is now smaller than it was in previous versions.
Well, this has been the first time that I went back to a previous version of gbpvr, I do hope the first two problems can be solved. Because I'm a real big fan of this program...
