I am beginning to think there may be an issue with the video card age. It's an Nvidia Geforce4 MX4000. I had no problem with darkness till this version....but I also went to a 42" plasma as my MVP display. The darkness is really pronounced there. I have made a change to the brightness setting in the ?.ini file and when I get home tonight I will be able to take a look at it. The only other real problem is with the TV attached to the GBPVR PC. With the video card set to "clone" the display, I would get a full screen with GBPVR. PVRX2 will not clone and expand to fill the screen.

Sub, I would never say anything bad about what you have done with the product....now or in the past. It is a wonderful application, and I will learn to "roll with the punches". All in all I believe PVRX2 will be better than GBPVR.

Sub, is there any way to get the channel # to show when making a manual recording? All it show is the call sign, and I have no idea what 99% of them are (my local TV guide only lists like ABC, CBS, not KRIV, KHOU, etc.

Maybe this weekend I will look at upgrading back to PVRX2 again - start out with a blank database.
One if the things I missed from the older version was the ability to change the order of the plugins, plus the ability to make sub-plugin folders to group similar plugins together.

You can still change the order, except for the exit.
You just need to make sure the plugin is highlighted first, then you can drag it.

Oh yeah, the jerky playback (Live TV!) also irked me!

BTW, the channel # and call sign show up on the web interface!!
