I've been working on a nasty workaround for GB-PVR to enable X-Card users to have nice full colour graphics for the menu. It works along the lines of this:
1) X-Card out to Scart switcher box on priority B
2) Graphics card TV-Out to scart switcher box on priority A
3) When in menu system enable TV-Out and when not (i.e. go to watch a DVD for TV) disable it so the X-Card gets priority back
Problem... it all works (it's only an ULTRA simple program, it disables TV-Out by calling a shortcut key set up to do so via the graphics card setup (mind you, getting a shortcut-key to be recognised SYSTEM wide i.e. not just in any one Window was a lot harder than just using SendKeys!), but only if you have two monitors plugged in! The graphics card (well, mine anyway) doesn't let you disable the only remaining device. Does anyone know of a way to trick Windows into thinking it has another monitor plugged in?
Alternatively someone can infiltrate TVedia and find out how on earth they got millions of colours out of the X-Card!
Some shows i record have artifacts on the top few lines. Â Its only certain shows, like Seinfeld. I noticed that the commercials in between were OK. I thought perhaps it may have something to do with captions so i am going toi record something with closed captions turned on. Have you seen this problem before?

Don't know if this has been noted, probably has but couldn't see it.. when you rewind in a recording it looks like it's fast forwarding but when you let go of the rewind button it HAS gone back!

I saw a reference on another topic about a setting in the IR definitions for InterCodeDelay, but a search of the forums (and using google) comes up blank. Â
I have a new sat box, but it is a bit slow accepting IR commands. Â With BeyondTV I increased the delay between numbers to 500ms, and the whole thing worked perfectly but with GBPVR, I can't get more than the first number entered. Â Can someone shed some light on the InterCodeDelay syntax? Â I tried just putting a line:
I am trying to change channels on an external tuner using the red eye serial device (and a command line utility) but the tuner "misses" some of the digits.
The problem seems to be a timing issue with the frequency of the commands sent to the red eye device. I have logged the commands that are sent (using a program called portmon) and they appear to be correct (i.e. I change to channel 105 and the string "105" is sent).
I have definitely had this working before with a previous incarnation of GBPVR so I can't figure out what I am doing wrong - has the frequqncy of the commands changed internally in GBPVR?
This ssems to be OK now. At least the XML-Data is ok. But when I update GB-PVR, double entrys with one hour offset are created. I tryed to empty all EPG-Data, but all is still here.
I think, the 'Empty-EPG'-Button is not doing what it should...
One solution may be, to delete the capture source, but I dont like to tune all channels over and over again.
Therfore my question: How to *really* empty EPG data?

I just got my PVR150MCE, but it doesn't seem to work at all with GBPVR.
When I select 'livetv', I get the error:
"Error: Failure playing back file".
When I try the tuning assistent, I get:
"Connect pins failed!"
"Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarVideoDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogVideoIn"
It starts tuning after this, but I get no picture (should there be? - now it's just gray above the freqs), and no output afterwards - it just says "scan complete", and nothing happens...
All Hauppauge software is working correctly, as is Dscaler. I'm using the latest driver for my 150mce.
I've tried several MPEG-decoders, but I don't think that's the problem, as TuningAssistent also refuses to work...
