No plans of implementing this "feature", I hope? :-D

Blech.. so Tivo will be sending out a new OS version that when you fast
forward through commercials, you're going to get pop-up ads! This won't
effect Tivo1 users (no upgrades in a long time) but stand-alone Tivo2
people /will/ get it. Doesn't seem like DirecTV Tivo2 people will get
nailed with this but then again, they don't get the HomeMedia option,
etc. either.

I am playing around with the MVP screen calibration settings in the config.xml. I was successful in adjusting the horizontal calibration parametes to fit my TV screen exactly (width and X-offset that is), but adjusting the MVPOffsetY tag value doesn't change anything. Height adjustments work, but not the Y-offset. I tried changing both MVPOffsetY tags that I found in the config.xml (what is the other MAC-specific one for anyway?).
Any help appreciated. My second day, and I am diving deeper into the internals of GB-PVR :) Very cool stuff!

P.S.: "Preview Post" function before posting new messages to the forum doesn't work -- returns you back to the edit screen.
Has anyone developed a GBPVR plugin for misterhouse? Or maybe some other general X10 stuff like lights or cameras?
It'd be nice to have an X10 plugin so I could switch the view to one of my X10 cameras or turn on a light, etc. I was thinking about trying this and didn't want to re-invent the wheel if someone else had started down this path already.
I don't like the options "Exit or Cancel" when looking at the pending recordings. For me "cancel" on a dialog box means
"never mind, take me back" but this time it means "Delete
pending recording".
I rather have Exit and Delete in this dialog window.
Just as a side point, since the translations are done on a word to word basis, in swedish I get the choice of "Shutdown" or "Abort", abort being delete the recording :-)
Sub a couple of requests when scheduling a recording:
1. The ability to specify the format of the filename for the recording. Right now it always records with Episode Name and time stamp. What would be nice is if we can specify the format of the output filename to be based on a pattern. Something like:
CURDATE_EPNAME_SUBTITLE
EPNAME_DATE_SUBTITLE
Or something along those lines.
2. The ability to send all recordings to a Common folder or to their own individual folders. Right now, you specify a default Parent folder and then each episode gets it's own folders created when it creates the file. Personally I like that method, however, my wife prefers to have some episodes that get recorded and then deleted to be put into a COMMON folder.
Then an option when recording could be given to choose folder type to use. Either Common for the episode to be place there, or by Episode to be placed in it's Series folder.
I recently installed a PVR 250 card, a MediaMVP, and GB-PVR. I can view live TV on the PVR 250 application just fine. However, when I try to view Live TV using GB-PVR on my TV (via MediaMVP), all I get is static. Sometimes, I get audio, but I don't get any picture.
I have my cable line plugged in to the PVR 250 card. I've selected PVR 250 in the capture settings. I downloaded the TV schedule and channel assignments using Zap2It. I just can't get the Live TV to work. I have Internal Tuner selected as the source.
This morning, I did find that if I select Antenna in the Tuning dropdown list, then I do get channels up to 11, but nothing higher. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am pretty new to this whole PVR thing but have been reading stuff on it for the past few weeks.
I have been looking at the WinTV-PVR-350 by happauge for the PVR card.
Will this let me watch and record video at the same time?
Can I plug the TV into this card directly or use some type of tv out on a video card?
Will the remote work with GB-PVR?
Is there a difference between WinTV-PVR-350 and PVR-350 or are they the same?
I have many more questions but will wait for postings on these. I just want to make sure this stuff will work since I have never done this before and the card is $200.
I saw this forum thread over at Meedio and thought it might be useful. What screen res does GBPVR use, the one Windows has setup? Also is it worth getting the Sonic decoders?
OleDbCommand aCommand = new OleDbCommand("select name, start_time from programme where name like '" + stringToMatch + "%'", aConnection);
It works fine except when the string to match contains a '
